Very disappointing year for my hydrangeas... I have six bushes and only a handful of flowers that bloomed. Now they're drying up, but I brought this one inside while it still had some life.

Taken with my Lensbaby Sweet 50 +8mm macro converter.

Hope you enjoy and please checkout the downloads for more details!

Nice captures with your Lensbaby, Angela!
With all the energy they saved this year, just think how prolific those hydrangeas will be in 2018!!!

When I am confronted with photographic issues, I try to experiment my way through them.

This is my attempt to deal with gathering light before sunup. These images were shot with a very high ISO setting as I couldn't get enough light to expose the images the way I like to. I used ISO 6,400 instead of the usual 200 to 800 range. Not sure if I like them or not.

The D500 is suppose to be good in low-light, so I would like anyone who shoots this camera or other ones to let me know if these seem to be the quality I should expect from the D500. Taking in consideration that I wanted to get faster shutter speeds, and the light was quite a long time before sunrise.

I brought them into post and brought the color from the normal blue morning light to a more reasonable tone, passed the image through a bit of noise reduction, and here you have the results.

As usual, thanks for any helpful info.
Enjoy anyway.

I love these captures, Boz!

Waaaay beyond my skillset to offer you any advise. I look forward to the day that the only problem I can find with my shots is a teensy bit of grain at 6400 ISO! But how else ya gonna catch'em at their early morning ablutions?

I don't get out much these days but went looking for something colorful or interesting in my dying garden. I know you are all tired of posts of autumn leaves but I just had to share mine. Enjoy!

I'm glad you were able to get out to catch these, Corolyn!
Love the textures and colors and especially that lone berry in the last photo.

I was able to get out for awhile yesterday and ended up with a mixture of birds and mammals. Taken with my Canon 80D and Canon lens 70-300mm DO hand held. ALL C&C is welcome and the details will be with each photo. Thanks for taking a look at these photos and if you leave any comment I understand the time it takes.

Greg

Great shots of the birds and mammals, Greg!
And aren't we lucky that the mammal doesn't fly - the reservoirs just don't hold enough windshield wiper fluid to clean off their mess!

but got a couple of spiders on our walk on the Katy Prairie this morning.
Just had my A6500 mirrorless and an adapted Olympus 50mm f1.4 film era lens that I'm learning to use.

Sometimes spiders are all you can find - but you can always find'em.

I saw it at sam's sanctuary a couple of months

Great shots, merry!
Thank you for waiting two months to post these. That's two months of my life I didn't have to ponder, "What the . . . ?" After viewing the DLs, back and forth between pics, twisting my head one way and then the other and nearly standing on my head, I think I finally figured out what I was looking at and what was where. Maybe. I think.

let me look again

Terrific shots, Earl!
I can't tell about bigger (he's basically the same size on my screen), but he is definitely uglier. He looks a bit like Jeff Goldblum.

Some Chive flowers, very small, about 20mm across, an Aggie on the way and a couple I don't know...

Beautiful shots of your chives (both with and without ants), aggies, and I don't knows!
I got here through the "Newest pictures" section - saw the aggies and got so excited to think the aggies would bloom again this time of year! But, of course, this time of year here is not this time of year there. Enjoying your spring - keep'em coming.

Beautiful photos, sundar!

Do you know what #3 is? It looks like a plant I bought last spring that was touted as unkillable - and evidently it is since it survived me!

More lovely lensbaby images, Angela! But, gee, it seems so sad - "before they shriveled" - I feel like I'm at a wake.

Photo #1 - the background "chunks" are from a close-up of galvanized steel shot by a UHH buddy and loaned to me for use as a texture layer. The light in background is a street lamp, though we can pretend it's the full moon

Thanks for viewing!

All beautiful, Linda.
No. 2 really gets me - poor little rose crying over his own death.
