Thank you both so much. I was afraid it was just the 'diiferent' of the photo that I liked!

This is a Puffin from the St. Louis Zoo. Their enclosure was extremely dark with a few bright spotlights. This little guy was having so much fun showing off for the crowd, I had to try! Let me know what you think....Thanks! :)

Thank you so much for your help. Everytime i try to type my name an then put something over it. it never saves that way i have to save them seperate so then i have to do it all over again when i want the watermark. i want to be able to just use the watermark each time. do you know how to do that.

I use PSE 8. Go to File - New - Blank File. Doesn't matter what size. I paint the background a solid color. It's easier to see your work that way. That should work for you. It shouldn't save until you're ready. And for Alt0169 make sure you hold down Alt and type 0169 using the numbers on the lower right of your keyboard. When you release the Alt key it should automatically put the copyright sign in.
Note: this is all in pse 8 and the copyright is on a PC. I don't know for any other photo programs. And I know the copyright is different on a Mac

clone, baby, clone!!!

Actually look to see if you have a 'patch' selection tool. This does some nice cloning but on a selected area. Sort of the same thought process as 'content aware delete' but without the college diploma.

I did! So happy someone told me where it was! Don't know how I've lived without it all the time! lol
Although, after my edit I didn't need to use it, but I did on the originals (which I also keep).
I'll have to look for the Patch Tool.

I also like the cobweb. Almost looks like there is a spider in there!

if you have CS5 you can draw a selection around the object and then hit delete, the widow will pop up and you can do 'content deletion' of the item. Does a really nice job most of the time.

I have Photoshop Elements 8

Yes...I like your font better as well. I just used that one cuz it's what popped up. lol. And I couldn't find a bird to use.
But all you do is type out your name then open your bird (and maybe heart) Then drag the bird over the text where you want it. Turn down the opacity of the bird till it looks like its behind the text. You can also add bevels and shadows (but be careful with that...you don't want it to end up too busy) Then you get your little 'ants' 'marching' (haha...only way I know how to explain it) around it then go to Edit and Define Brush. Then all you will have to do is go to your Brush Tool and find your brush, it will go to the very end, and you can stamp your pictures!

You can change it to any color you want to at any time. Frank, do you use a PC? if so, the copyright symbol can be aquired by using Alt-0169. (Only the number keys on the right side of the keyboard can be used...not the ones along the top)
