Have you tried West Virginia we have some great spots. Trans allegeny lunatic Asylum and old Moundsville State pen. Check em out.
I've not been there, but it sounds very interesting. I have heard of both of those locations. I would love to check them out sometime.

Did you ever consider the role God plays in the art of photography? After all photography wasnt invented it was discovered just as electricty and music. I have had several moments where I actually felt and saw the result of God's hand in the creation of the photograph I was about to snap.
I am curious if i am alone in this spiritual intervention or if others have had the same experience.

Every time I photograph nature shots this comes to mind. It's perfections and imperfections are all from the hand of God. It's all as it was meant to be whichever category it falls in. One of my favorite quotes from the great Ansel Adams is:
"Sometimes I do get to places just when God's ready to have somebody click the shutter."
I have a huge passion for abandoned buildings and places. I am also the co-founder and lead investigator of a Paranormal group. The draw is the history and the mystery. Who walked there before me? Who may still walk there? I love to explore and research these various locations, and of course photograph them. I feel there is so much beauty in decay and you never know when the building and the opportunity to photograph it will be gone. Here are a few shots of places I've visited and explored. Thank you very much, I appreciate your comments and I'm glad you like the image☺ This is three bracketed exposures in Photomatix Pro and some very subtle tweaks in CS5. I really try very hard to not over edit. I strive to restore in the image what my eye saw and what the digital process inherently takes away.
I'm looking forward to meeting some interesting people here and having some great discussions.
