True, to an extent.

You have to bear in mind that photography college in England in the 60s was still very old school, and a lot of our student projects were shot on 4x5 sheet film. As we were only allowed two or three sheets each per project (purely based on cost) there wasn't much room for experimentation :?

SOOC was not the only choice, you could push the processing, choose different paper, and the enlarger gave you more options.

Yes, you're quite right. What I really meant to suggest was that, certainly to a young fresh faced student in the 60s, who at the time had only recently mastered exposure, depth of field and ASA (remember ASA?) but had only a vague notion of push processing or multigrade papers, film was far less forgiving than a RAW file and hence it was important to get it right in camera.

Wow, College...
...even more interesting...

Leeds College of Technology 1967...

Chemistry, Physics, Optics... we did it all back then, and SOOC was the only choice!

Interesting, I remember the band though not that album, but who knows after as many as I've seen since then!

Probably most notable for "Ships in the night" from the "Sunburst Finish" album...

My only real claim to fame back in 1975, the rest was mostly fairly boring product, architectural and wedding...

Oh, and maybe the fact that Richard Branson slept in my bed back in 1972 (I wasn't in it at the time)

He was in the process of opening a Virgin Record Store in Leeds (UK) and needed somewhere to stay (he wasn't a multi-millionaire back then)

Slow reaction and a $ late.

If you think I only use UHH you are nuts.

You can use as many forums as you wish - with as many pseudonyms as you wish, however;

Albert Einstein is widely credited with saying “The definition of insanity is doing the same thing over and over again, but expecting a different result”.

(It really doesn't matter that there's absolutely no evidence that Einstein actually made this statement; it's still a great quote!)

Who is nuts?

What color space does ACR uses when opening a raw file?

It seems that the Adobe community is also getting a little tired of this exact same question from a certain "English-Wolf" (I wonder who that could be?) who won't take no (or yes, or any other response) for an answer.
