Ask any professional wedding photographer. I've had lots of camera over the years, digital and Film. I can't remember taking a photo that I couldn't improve in PP.

I've always heard it is best to format in the camera you are using the card in. Not in the computer, not in different cameras. Make this rule and it's one issue you never have to revisit.

Shoot auto ISO' Limit to 800 ISO. Shoot in RAW. Plan on post processing. Pick your WB in post processing. What size prints do you need? Just a few ideas.

This may be deviating somewhat from the question however I shoot with a D7100 at ISO of 1600 a lot and experience extremely low noise problems. I print 11 x 14 a lot. 90 % of my shooting is done in Aperture mode. I have to believe the 7200 is at least the same, if not better, then the 7100. If I were experiencing issues with noise I would look at my entire shooting process and see if there is some other issue I could adjust. What type of shooting are you doing that is producing excessive noise?

I went from D7000 to D7100. It was a very worthwhile upgrade. I shoot almost exclusive photos and not videos......

I use Costco all the time. I don't even need to give my name when picking up photos. I do all my PP and send them off. All different sizes, shapes and materials. Great results. My Costco prints a little bit darker then my monitor even though I calibrate my monitor regularly. Knowing this my final step is to brighten my photos and send them off..... Very predictable results.
Good shooting,
Nice system. Whatever system you get plan on calibrating your monitor from time to time. I use ColorMunki but there are other good ones out there as well.
Good shooting. Good PP.
Photoshop CC has a clarity feature. When in Photoshop go to Filter, Camera Raw Filter. Toward the bottom of the list is clarity, Vibrance and saturation. All of them work very well......
This works well with JPEGs as well as Camera Raw......
Good shooting,
Check out the 35 and 50MM 1.8 Nikon Lenses. Excellent lenses and quite reasonable. I have found 1.8 to take care of my needs. I shoot with a D7100 body.
Good shooting,
Thanks Jerry, I needed that.
Good Shooting (Don't take it literally)
Happy Holidays to all my fellow hogs. May all your your Holiday pictures and memories be tack sharp.

Pull off all your filters and re shoot with a couple of different lenses. Not sure what but something very basic happening here. If no success contact factory.
Good shooting
Very nice. Do you remember the ISO?

I traded my D7000, which I liked a lot, for a D7100. I bought a refurb from B&H. Turned out the click count was 8 pictures. I scored big. I bought it looking for better low light capabilities. My 7000 was very good and the D7100 is even better. I'm sure the D7200 would be equal or better then the D7100. I can now shoot indoors, without a flash, at ISO of 1600 and not even consider noise. I loved my D7000 and even love my D7100 more. Low light capabilities was my goal and I nailed it..... Both photos have been post processed. The picture of the house was at 7:00PM. I also like to print large photos 11X14 and 16X20. Noise can become a big consideration at larger sizes.
