If you Google images of old windmills you will see that the vast majority of them have "sails" (blades) that are of a similar construction. What you see today is just the open framework of the sail, it's name coming from the fact that it was originally covered in sailcloth or canvas to catch the wind.

Thanks you Sir,i have looked it up but never found an answer,if i new they were sails it would have helped.
Have a great day.

The Montrose Elementary School playground has been torn out and is being replaced with an ADA playground. We started at 8am unloading a 40 foot semi of parts & pieces. By the time I left at 3pm, we were ahead of schedule. Our grandson, Micah, is the main reason I'm involved. He was born with Spina Bifida just over 5 years ago and has had 30+ surgeries. His spinal defect is down low so his main problem is with his legs & bowels. You don't want to get in his way or he'll run you over. If you're in the Bexley, OH area 11 August, that's dedication day.

I guess that this is some sort of disapproval, is this the logic and reason that you bring to an argument? I see you think that I must be crazy off the wall insane.... I would remind you that the Supremes handed down this ruling not me, it is also the same group of Supremes that was more than creative in allowing the ACA to stand in the first place...

You comment shows frustration and emotion at not being able to make an informed argument against the ruling.
What???   br br I guess ... (show quote)

They should make no laws for or against religion,i don't care how supreme they think they are.The employees don't have to get the abortive pills, period. It's not up to their employer, period. The ACA is for public availability compared to not available.Freedom of choice is better than an employer telling you what you can or can't do.the public buys their product, they are not non profit religious entities.I hate abortion but i believe in separation of church and state, period .They have gone too far.

It seems that not only do Steve and I disagree with your statement but that also the Supremes disagree with your statement. One does not give up all claims to constitutional freedoms simply because they enter into business. How would you feel if the government all of the sudden decided that the 4th did not apply to these businesses simply because they are viewed as non persons?

The larger point that no one seems to be talking about is that the court directed HHS to provide those drugs using different options that it has already demonstrated that it has at its disposal, so the women have lost nothing and nothing will be imposed on those women... This is mostly about the lefts outrage that the government can be held to our antiquated constitution that has no significance in modern America.. Your discomfort with the ruling I would suspect comes from somewhere else.

He can't answer that because it is none of his business! No one should impose their values or Religious beliefs on anyone else. The entire Fox Nation has been brainwashed and they are all Blurryeyed. No one is forcing Hobby Lobby to use birth control, this is Tyranny not Religious freedom! They are imposing their beliefs on their employees. The Religious right is neither Religious nor Right! The Tea Party Congress is the worst in our History it does nothing but obstruct has has no Ideas of its own. The GOP has been taken over by Ideologists much like Germany was taken over by Nazis. When they have no answers they resort to name calling. The GOP only survives by instilling fear and hatred in their base! It is DOOMED.

Blurryeyed, here's is what I don't understand: What business is it of yours, as a man, what a woman does with her body? And further, what does "about 18 weeks" mean? 17 weeks or 19 weeks?

I don't care what she does with her body, the baby has a body too.A man would be 50% responsible in my view and should have a say in the outcome.

The Little Red Hen (version 2014)

"Who will help me plant my wheat?" asked the little red hen.

"Not I," said the cow.

"Not I," said the duck.

"Not I," said the pig.

"Not I," said the goose.

"Then I will do it by myself." She planted her crop and the wheat grew and ripened.

"Who will help me reap my wheat?" asked the little red hen.

"Not I," said the duck.

"Out of my classification," said the pig.

"I'd lose my seniority," said the cow.

"I'd lose my unemployment compensation," said the goose.

"Then I will do it by myself," said the little red hen, and so she did.

"Who will help me bake the bread?" asked the little red hen.

"That would be overtime for me," said the cow.

"I'd lose my welfare benefits," said the duck.

"I'm a dropout and never learned how," said the pig.

"If I'm to be the only helper, that's discrimination," said the goose.

"Then I will do it by myself," said the little red hen.

She baked five loaves and held them up for all of her neighbors to see. They wanted some and, in fact, demanded a share but the little red hen said, "No, I shall eat all five loaves."

"Excess profits!" cried the cow. (Nancy Pelosi)

"Capitalist leech!" screamed the duck. (Barbara Boxer)

"I demand equal rights!" yelled the goose. (Jesse Jackson)

The pig just grunted in disdain. (Harry Reid)

And they all painted 'Unfair!' picket signs and marched around and around the little red hen, shouting obscenities.

Then the farmer (Obama) came He said to the little red hen, "You must not be so greedy."

"But I earned the bread," said the little red hen.

"Exactly," said Barack the farmer. "That is what makes our free enterprise system so wonderful. Anyone in the barnyard can earn as much as he wants. But under our modern government regulations, the productive workers must divide the fruits of their labor with those who are lazy and idle."

And they all lived happily ever after, including the little red hen, who smiled and clucked, "I am grateful, for now I truly understand."

But her neighbors became quite disappointed in her. She never again baked bread because she joined the 'party' and got her bread free. And all the Democrats smiled. 'Fairness' had been established.

Individual initiative had died but nobody noticed; perhaps no one cared so long as there was free bread that 'the rich' were paying for.

EPILOGUE

Bill Clinton is getting $12 million for his memoirs.

Hillary got $8 million for hers.

That's $20 million for the memories from two people, who were "broke" when they left the White House and who for eight years repeatedly testified, under oath, that they couldn't remember anything.
