Too damn close is what that snake is. Glad to be of help.
Fairly new myself but that doesn't stop me saying hello to you. Interesting that you like spiders as you have some special ones 'down under' I think.
There is a guy called 'Sarge' on here who really likes them also.
This is for you and him. Welcome.
Ordinary garden spider.
Ok now you can stop being polite - this is what she was going to marry. I don't know why I am doing this.

That's not even close to being funny. My ass is grass if she is in the wrong mood. She might be quietly pleased but that's too big a risk for me. She was a babe though and I now realise I was punching way above my weight. Thanks for the kind comments, I was very unsure about posting this.
Wow - I've never seen anything like that.
You have to give the details of how.
Might have been attacking the reflection in the lens?
The 'bee vomit' might stay with me for ever, but thanks all for the kind comments. I was dead chuffed that it worked.
Love the chipmunk.
Your straight flower portraits are astonishing - very beautiful.
Here's a photo with a history.
It is of my wife Barbara when she was 19. Taken at a party where she was dressed as a schoolgirl, more than 30 years ago. The camera was probably an OM-1 using FP4 film, loaded, processed and printed by me.
I recently scanned the neg using an £80 Ion scanner, tarted it up a bit in Elements to remove the dust etc and got it put on a 20x16 canvas print on the wall.
The quality is amazing and could have been taken yesterday.
It's my favourite photo of Barb but she is horrified by it and tuts and shakes her head whenever I show it to anyone.
Don't tell her I showed you.
Barbara
It's all been said, but the horse photo is really special. I still have my OM-1 (with 50, 28 & 135). I bought it in 1978 and had to borrow the money from, my now wife, and my house savings and pay it back monthly. This makes me want to give it a run out - thanks.
Good shots of the Jumping Spider as these little guys have very good eyesight and will start moving away from you when you get within a yard.
Excellent results from a point and shoot - you seem to have the knack.
Taken in New York about 20 years ago on a Leica CL. I have have hundreds of negatives going back years and do some scanning and printing now and then.
I don't have the patience to do too many after a day at work peering at another bl*#%y computer. Excuse my French.

Oh No - he's found me!
Very kind though just like you said Photogrl57.
Don't know if it's obvious but the Ladybird (can't be 'bug because bugs suck sap....and it's not a bird...ok we'll come back to that one) is on a vertical wall and looks to be holding position with one foot.
Canon EOS-350D (Rebel to you?) with 100mm macro, hand held, natural light. Well someone might want to know.
Not much to say really. Ladybird on my shed. Do you say Ladybug over there?
Thought about putting it in the Macro section but Nikonian is too scary.
er .... a ladybird....and a nail...that's it.
I thought it was a myth that if you came across a bee on the ground it was tired and that if you gave it honey the bee would eat it and fly off. Well it's not, and it was, and I did, and it did....did.
A taste of honey.
