July and August bring the monsoon rains to Tucson. Most of the rain for the entire year comes then. With the rains come wonderful sunsets. With a little boost from Lightroom, I thought these were worth sharing.
Yes, definitely continue them.
I'm wondering about diving the Bridge.
What is the best time of year to go?
Is it very tidal there?
Can you recommend a PADI Dive shop in the area?
Your pictures are great and I'd be very interested in diving the spot.
Use the widest, fastest lens you have. Wide is more important than fast.
DO NOT plan to switch lenses in Upper Antelope and try not to in Lower.
Use a tripod and cable release or at least self timer.
Bring a "puffer" to keep your lens clean. Very important.
Think about HDR. There is a lot of contrast.
There is a tendency to be rushed particularly if there are a lot of people (Upper).
Try to take the time to get THE shot, not a lot of shots.
Try to go mid day.
Have fun.
I'm going to try to get to the Blue Heron Bridge this Summer and look for the little critters. Anyone have a recommendation on Dive Shops?

I am new to Lightroom and several times when I have closed LR and then re-opened it, the catalog is lost. Once I mistakenly clicked "default catalog"and after searching around, I cannot find the original one. Is it lost forever? I didn't think you were supposed to lose things forever in LR.
Thanks, I had the
'don't import duplicates checked".
I have tried to import a folder of 37 photos from Desktop in Mac to LR and only 27 of the photos will import. No warnings or explanation pop up to tell me why. Any ideas?
Apple will make a patch to migrate Aperture to iPhoto and you can already get to Lightroom from there.
Thanks.
You and others on UHH are great resources. Your ability to explain is likely better than my ability to pose the question.
:-)
I guess my question boils down to this. At the telephoto end of the focal length range, is the "magnification" that is described from using a crop sensor camera with an EF lens a real effect or an illusion when the prints from the two images are enlarged to the same size print.
