At least the frequency and intensity of wildfires has little or nothing to do with c*****e c****e. It has to do with government policy that suppressed fire for 75 years and then in the early 80s to early 90s stopped thinning forests that they had replanted.

Those forests have too many trees per acre, making them susceptible to drought, insects and disease. In addition several of the recent major forest fires were caused by power wires causing sparks when they came in contact with trees, or metal power line towers, all caused by poor maintenance of the power grid.

Those fires would have occurred with or without c*****e c****e. As to floods, that is also suspect as one of the main reasons that we are getting so much flood damage is how many people are building in flood plains and a second reason is that we have destroyed wetlands. Once again, nothing directly related to c*****e c****e.

Then there is your assertion about hurricanes. If you go back and look at the historical data we are currently having fewer major hurricanes, not more.

Hey guys, how do you like the "new" shortened zippers on your jeans? I curse the z%$#& (probably female) bean counter who decided shorten the zipper on my jeans by 1 1/2 inches in order to save a few cents every time I try to get my hand in there to do what it has to do. I don't have a big hand, I take a medium glove but I can't get more than two or three finger in there and sometimes the extra time it takes is too much. I would gladly pay ten times what they have saved to get a full length zipper back. It seems that many manufacturers are now getting on the bandwagon. What can we do?

Problems are due to drivers that don't know how to use an EV in a cold environment. EV's are very popular in Norway. They're exposed to low temperatures quite often, yet they do not have issues with EV's.

I just found out that the Chiefs playoff game tonight will only be available via streaming Peacock. I gotta say that this really makes me mad, as I don't have Peacock and don't even have a way to stream it on my big screen tv even if I did sign up for it. Frankly, I see this as a move toward having to pay to watch all sports and hope they have a very poor response and that others are upset about this as well. It was bad enough that the Thursday night games were restricted, but everyone should get to see the playoff games and they make plenty of money putting them on network TV. Is this really the future of sports on TV?

Evs are a dead issue. No farmer can farm with an EV. No trucker can deliver loads on time with an EV. The sooner the USA understands how stupid this whole idea is the better.

Have you seen the massive mining operations that are required to harvest all the minerals required to make e-cars usable? Where is the electricity coming from to charge all these cars -- from f****l f**l plants! Electric cars are a band-aid placed over a wound that will keep bleeding. If we are serious about reducing greenhouse gasses, we need to be building more nuclear power plants and developing hydrogen-powered vehicles.

Hydrogen is the most plentiful element in the solar system, does not require scaring the earth with mining, and produces only water coming from a tailpipe in autos. One company (I believe Toyota) has built a car that uses something like nine hydrogen cylinders in a line across the back of the car. To refuel, a panel is lifted on the rear of the car and one or all of the cylinders can be easily removed and a new one inserted. I know the technology about how to produce large amounts of hydrogen is not ready for the consuming public just yet, but I contend neither is electric.

No one is addressing the downside of an all-electric fleet of autos. As people earlier in this post have pointed out, a lot of people are becoming disenchanted with electric vehicles and I believe that trend will continue.

It took many years before gasoline cars completely overtook the horse and buggy for road t***sportation for similar reasons. Gas stations were probably not as conveniently located in the early days . . . but we eventually overcame that and gasoline powered cars became the norm. I believe this will again happen when electric charging stations conveniently located become the norm. The "bugs" in some of the early electric cars will be fixed. And "hopefully" all this effort will result in cleaner air and environment.
