Mainly Herons on this trip through the wetlands here in Central Florida. The Roseate Spoonbills is a family portrait, from left to right immature to mature (the coloring and the bill pattern becomes more pronounced as they age). The STILT just got a pedicure. The juvenile night heron has those awesome eyes already. You really should download.

All very nice sharp photos! Thanks for sharing.

HELP. I have a MacBook Pro 2018. I also have Lightroom6 which I realized I should be able to install on it.
I am getting an error message that reads” cannot create the required folder” Looks like for presets.
Any idea of what is wrong? Is the disc too old?

I have a 2015 MacBook Pro with Mojave and stand alone Lightroom 6 and everything works great. I can't remember how I installed it but I don't remember having a problem so you should be able to do it.

I hope someone can help me. There is a conflict between lightroom and all my external drives including usb.
When they are plugged in lightroom crashes. I can us them with all other adobe products. Adobe says the problem is the external drives but this dies not make sense to me. Has anyone experienced this type of issue.

I have had this problem at times. What I found for me that works is to turn on Lightroom and then plug in the external hard drive and all is well. If I plug in the external drive first sometimes it crashes.

This mill is on the former property of Jim Kirby who was an inventor. He constructed this mill in 1922 to produce hydroelectric power for his home. It is the first of it's kind, designed so the weight is resting on ball bearings. And it could turn on just a trickle of water. His property is now a 336 acre park. (information at friendsofcrowellhilaka.org...click on "what's here")

I've been staring at these two photos since yesterday (well, not continuously...I did sleep!). I can't decide if I like the color better, or the sepia. Anyone have an opinion? Thanks!

Also, a photo of my above photo combo which I use for this Osprey/salmon shot or my Bee shots, moon shots, etc.

Some people have said I use a Macro lens for my Bee, insect shots. Not true.

Excellent job, Regis. 👍👍👍

I am recently retired and I am trying to further my knowledge of photography. I have been reading the posts and find them quite informative and in some cases very competitive.
In Australia we have a Festival of Lights in New South Wales capital, Sydney called Vivid which includes spectacular light images projected onto the Sydney Opera House.
If there is any interest I will attempt to post some images.
Thanks for allowing me to be part of this forum.

I use Corel Paintshop. LR seems to be the favored program on his forum. I thought it might be interesting to tabulate preferred editors without going into all the various reasons for making that selection. If this has already been done recently, let me know. I probably overlooked it in 'Search'. Thanks.

I continue to plan my long awaited River Cruise on the Danube - Prague to Budapest next August. Ideally, I'd like to bring my desktop and all my photography equipment!
However, Lufthansa and TSA have suggested I pair down. Most UHHer's have suggested I travel with lighter equipment than my Canon 5D MIII and three lenses. My concern, in addition to making the trip enjoyable, is image quality. I'm leaning towards the Sony RX10 IV, either renting or purchasing.

Here's my concern: Will the 24 mm be sufficiently wide to capture the grandeur of the castles and scenes?
Thanks,
Mark
I continue to plan my long awaited River Cruise on... (show quote)

I travelled from Budapest to Amsterdam 2 years ago by river cruise and I took my 6D with 24-105 lens, my 70-200 F2.8 with the 1.4 extender and my 13" MacBook Pro with external hard drives and never had a problem flying with my gear. I used the 70-200 quite a bit from the river boat to capture castles, wildlife, etc. along the river banks. Take your 5D and enjoy your trip.
