They did not tell me not to shoot from above. It was a pro photographer book that sais don't shoot pics like everyone else :)
I also went to the Missouri Botanical Garden Orchid Show. I had read not to shoot flowers from above and could not really get down to their level because of the crowds so I held the camera at arms length in front of the flowers and shot away. I was surprised at how well some came out.
I went to the same show first day. Was told not to shoot flowers from above so since I could not get at their level, because of the crowds, I just held camera low right in front of the orchids and shot away. I was surprised how well some turned out.

Hi, this is my first tiime sending anything. First tiime shooting the moon. I got a new Canon Rebel T2i. I like it and will love it when I know how to use it better.
Well, Susan I'm new, too. I recognize Lake Storey. My folks took us there many times when I was a kid in Moline, Illinois. I love the first moon shot.
I welcome any advice from all of the great photographers out there.
New to this site. New to photography. Would love to learn from the pros.
Was walking down arch steps at dusk and took this on the run, trying to keep up with my wife and kids. Brushed out some building tops.
Nice shadow. The tiny white spec at bottom right is our van.
As you can see I like taking pics of the arch.
