I'd like to get some of the old American cars they're driving.

Some politicians are yelling about this. I guess they think if we keep doing the same thing for another 54 years it might work.

The politicians are yelling about it for one simple reason: The President exceeded his authority. Normalizing relations is a good thing and it is about time but it is not in his authority to take it upon himself to make this deal.

As far as tourism goes, Cuba has been the number one destination in the Caribbean, for the rest of the World, for several years and has a thriving tourism industry. You can travel as a U.S. citizen if it is for educational reasons. An organization brought to my attention by Jerry, Road Scholar, has regular tours to Cuba for Americans.

At least 20 years or at least back to the time man began making objects like plastic milk bottles, and the like, that nature cannot recycle for scores perhaps hundreds of years.

And I repeat, environmentally speaking, man is the biggest polluter (filthiest) of them all.

And, regarding you words, "the so-called scientists," it will likely be they who will rid us of the problem of non-nature recyclables, as it was they who created them.

You tap dance around the issue. Your response seems to say you are willing to sit back and whine while someone else comes up with a solution. Why not clean up the mess we can see and touch in the Pacific? Should we sit back and let the patch grow with no effort to clean it up?

As far as man being the worst polluter your fellow whiners would disagree.

How about voting out people who are trying to gut the EPA?

When did the EPA gain control of the Pacific Ocean? All of that garbage is not coming solely from the U.S.

Well, since you asked, one thing I am doing is attaching this picture for you. It is one of many Great Pacific Ocean's Garbage Patches. No denying this pollution, Mr. denier-Bat.

Doesn't the picture thrill you to the point that it makes you want to return to your cave wall, hang upside down and make fresh guano piles?

Perhaps you can do more. Stories about the Great Pacific Ocean's Garbage Patch go back at least ten years that I can remember and yet no one has done anything to clean it up. The so-called scientists seem to do nothing but study it. Why not lobby your congressmen to do something about it?

I m usually a dollar short and day late but I finally ordered the Canon SX50 from Canon. It was 199 refurbished with a 1 year warranty. Are there any good videos or sites for the beginner using the sx50? I'm so excited and have enjoyed looking at all the pictures/images taken by the SX50.

Thanks for any guidance you can give me.

You could try this site for a start:

The red dot scope is used to aim the camera. Rather than looking through the viewfinder, which is a small FOV on a telephoto lens, you can use the red dot to target the subject with a large clear FOV. And it maintains the image while shooting in continuous mode.

It is especially useful on mirrorless cameras due to the EVF blackout while the sensor is being read. At high burst rates, most of the time is spent reading the sensor, so the image is just flashing in the EVF. Moving targets are difficult to track, but easy with a red dot scope.

I could not see the point either. Thank you for your explanation. I can see this being very useful for night photography. I have had some issues aiming my camera in night photos using the view finder.

Can you use the laser to aim and then switch it off to take the photo? That would resolve the red dot in the photo issue.

If you think I have the time or inclination to debunk one of least reliable outfit in the US media you are deluded.

As to the 'news' there is indeed a copyright over commercialization of photography*, not picture taking. But then again no-news-fox has nothing else to do at the moment than make up dumb stories.

This applies for many monuments as well as cultural events not only in France but worldwide, US included...

The story is true and can be verified by multiple sources. The place for your political rant is in the "Attic" not here.

I don't know if they have "started" or if this is a one-shot deal, making the Pro here. Let's see if iPods and iPhones move to the U. S. It would be nice to put millions of dollars into the hands of Americans, rather than the Chinese.

The iPhone is already over priced. Making it here would raise the cost to ridiculous.

You can get BAD service from anyone.

Their wage has NOTHING to do with it.

To make a blanket comment about minimum wage based on one person, is simplistic at best.

You might as well make a similiar comment about ALL CEOs wages because 1 CEO doing something stupid.

You just described the method many people use to solve any problem. Right now there is a discussion about the small pre-packaged laundry soap packets. In a population of 3 million plus a couple of hundred toddlers tried to eat the soap pods and got sick. Now there is a group that wants to ban them so no one can have them.

I have been treated poorly by a fast food worker and I have been treated quite well by other workers. It has nothing to do with the wage and everything to do with the attitude of the worker.

The electronic systems mentioned do not run on one circuit. They all have different protocols and circuits to control them. I suppose it is possible that a single blast could shut them down but it seems highly improbable. A directed EMF pulse would do the job but the ship would need to be towed home. It would not sail away after the attacker left the area. What would be the point, in a war, to shut down the ship temporarily?

I make $46.20 hr, the max unemployment I can get (unless it's gone down, and it may have, is $1800 a month. My rent is $1900 a month and I'm lucky to have a place for that. How is that enough to encourage me not to work. I'm 64 and believe it or not there is some age discrimination in the work place. Also, employers like to hire someone who is already working, and the longer you have been unemployed the harder it is to get work. If you get to where you can't afford a phone and computer I don't know how you would ever get work. You and I don't have the power to lobby for special exemptions. I'm not talking about the ones you listed. When I was unemployed my unemployment was too much for me to qualify for food stamps.

This is not personal and I was at no time referring to you.

I have a neighbor who makes well over $3,000 a month from welfare, unemployment, food stamps and other payments for her and her three kids. She gets several thousand in tax refunds even though she pays no taxes. The local McDonalds has workers putting in double shifts everyday because then can't find anyone willing to work. They offer $10 an hour to start. The local ACE Hardware only offers $9 to start.

I know a 25 year old man in West Virginia who voluntarily took drugs and became an addict. He also developed an attraction to alcohol. Now he is declared totally disabled and receives 100% disability payments from Social Security. Because he could not work he collected over 90 weeks of unemployment from his last employer in addition to his disability. I only know what he told me. The tax payers are footing the bill for his bad behavior. Is that fair? That is what the Republicans want fixed.

I have never collected unemployment or welfare so I can only speak about what I am told by people who have and what I read. Payments vary from State to State and even in counties, so I am not familiar with your area. I am very familiar with Philadelphia and the methods people use to c***t the system.

I am also older than you so I am very familiar with the age discrimination you refer to.
