A daily morning activity in June is to check out the river and I can usually find an eagle there each day as I did this morning. " Eagle Watching" The eagle was on the opposite side of the river perched in a tree and the extent of my 300 mm lens was really called upon to give its most, but most wasn't exactly enough for crisp, clear photos on this overcast day. The photo editing left a bit to be desired in most photo captures BUT, what a magnificent creature this large bird was.

If only I were close enuf to wild areas I'd be there all day. Awesome.

Good Monday morning to all.. First time in a week that the sun is shining when I woke up. June Gloom here is the usual day until about 11:00 AM when it burns off.

Jumped out to take a couple of pics of the Lily of the Nile and caught a couple of bees enjoying them as well.

a macro shot.

Nature watching has got to be my best June Pastime. So much is happening and changing around us. We started the day by going to see the young foxes, This morning we saw all three pups together. Then I went to see if I could find a snapping turtle reported having been seen. No turtle sighting but I did see a beautiful swallowtail feeding on clover. There is so much colour and excitement to see! And each day often brings about the blossoming of a new wildflower arrival such as Buttercups and their yellow buttery glory! Watching nature is the greatest thing to do in June. Enjoy!

Always loved those balloons. I think I need to do a zoom blur of my calendar because that's the way June is going...but, here are just a couple.

Just for the heck of it I looked pastime up in the dictionary. The simple definition is an activity that occupies one's time pleasantly.I'm sure that we all have pet activities that keep us busy-especially now that the great weather is upon us...
Maybe hiking ,boating, swimming, gardening,-those are a few of mine...Traveling to new unexplored areas...like National Parks or foreign countries..The possibilities are endless!

Great way to set us up Judy... good challenge.

It has a somber beauty, Teri. But I suggest cropping maybe 1/4th off the right side. IMHO that would strengthen the two basic elements of your composition: the church and the sun. Don't worry if the format begins to look like a square instead of a horizontal rectangle. All formats are arbitrary. The subject is fighting for its own format, not yours.

Thank you Richard... appreciate the thoughts and the suggestion...

Had some shots all ready to add...hit send and my computer kicked me out!!! so eliminating all the "language" and the frustration I will simply try one last "Sunday" shot... Sunset beyond the Church around the corner.

I softened it just a hair.. like the dreamy look
