went to Iceland over New Years had no trouble leaving the U.S. or coming back with camera equipment, couldn't have been any easier on this trip but things and people at security do change
Going into Iceland couldn't be any simpler, nothing looked at and also no problem leaving.

Living in CT i would never tell anyone to take I84 From the NY line to I91 in Meriden road is worse than 95. also you can take the Garden State Parkway to the NY thruway and go across the Tappan Zee Bridge but you do miss the NYC skyline to 95 or the Merritt parkway but just remember to get off in Milford just across the bridge by Sikorsky's and cut over to 95. really not much along the shoreline of CT till you get to Mystic. enjoy your trip. there is a lot of road construction going on 95 and 95 traffic can be a zoo depending on what time of day you come through.

At Taos Pueblo: They want a fee for each camera you use. They give you a tag on a string to tie on the camera. I don't recall any obvious policing but you are certainly subject to it.

there last week no restriction on cameras no fee, just wanted you to ask permission to take photo of residents

was at Taos Publeo last week and nothing extra to take photos, just had to ask permission to take any photos of the people living there

Consider Taos Pueblo.
The last time I was there you had to pay an additional fee at the entrance to have a photo permit, well worth it.

Beautiful place, I just returned last week from there and hit all the sights around Banff and lake Louise. Stopped By Moraine lake twice and it was overcast and rain showers but the sun did peak through a few times.
