So incredibly cute and curious

You absolutely have to go to Instagram and do a search for these guys. You will be entertained endlessly by videos from people who have them as pets (Raccoons, ferrets, owls, possums, and everything else under the sun - even sloths)

Very enjoyable set.

From Wikipedia:

Splooting is lying in a spread-eagled, prone posture. It is typically performed by four-legged mammals such as dogs and squirrels when they wish to relax or cool down. It may also be known as frogging or pancaking.

Thanks, glad you enjoyed!

A beautiful set. It amazes me how they remain still and pose while you photograph them. The moment I raise the camera when I see one the little rascal shoots off. Keep sharing and get well soon

Thanks. I'm so glad you liked them. Dropsie was the first, I think, that actually seemed to be posing, and since then, as you can see in my other posts, many others have blessed me as well!

I guess that's why wildlife photographers always recommend if you want to do this sort of photography to start with squirrels. Trust me, they have taught me much! I also have a few that scamper off even when I toss a peanut! I call this snatch and grab. Trust me I scold them when they do this! Yes, like photographers do with the human model I do talk to my squirrels. One day, when no one was in the mood to work, I saw one in a favorite tree and offered a nut. It grabbed it, and instead of posing, it started up the tree and for the roof. I scolded it! So, I guess just to shut me up, it stopped, stared at me, and then slowly headed to the branch, stared straight into the camera, and then after that, stretched out and gave me a few shots and then, without looking back up, straight for the roof! Strange, but it's not the first time things like this have happened! Squirrels may speak English, and we may be the dumb ones! Just be patient and let them get used to you. They all have personalities!

Thanks, hoping to get back to normal life!
