Hiked to the eagle nest today... The 3 Amigos are getting pretty big...just so happy to see 3!
Then Dad snuck into the nest, but I captured him just as he was landing. He brought an unidentified feathered snack again, but only the left eaglet ate any of it...(See the meat/feathers on his beak...ok, it's hard to see, but it's there)....the others just watched him...
Then Dad perched beside the nest before flying off....look closely, you'll see soft downy feathers on/flying off his talons.

Rain forecasted tomorrow and over both days of the weekend, so I'll see them next week sometime.

Ps... The BIF shots were NOT in perfect focus... I forgot to watch my shutter speed (that I usually have set to 1/1260 to 1/1600).... So there around 1/800... Brain fart šŸ˜ž

Because if it doesn't peel off, then you're going to call Focus Camera and demand an explanation... Which you'll promptly get on here and let us all "know the rest of the story!"

That's why it's a mystery to me...

So..
OldCADuser, have you tried to peel the "screen protector" yet?.... If it peels off and will stick to a screen, the mystery is solved.... Or is it?.. lololol... Hopefully it's not keeping up up at night... šŸ˜‰

Those cards are screen protectors! Evidently you use those scales on the sides to measure your rear LCD or even your phone screen, and then you probably cut to fit, peel and stick...

Let us know it this is correct... Try peeling back on edge... It's not just "a plastic card"

Every year there is a pair of eagles that call this nest home. 2 babies maybe 3.

Keep us posted with updates... I'm following a nest with 3 eaglets, hiking out there every 5-7 days... I should make it thru May... I approximated their age using this website:

https://avianreport.com/baby-bald-eagles/

It's been fun... Hopefully you'll have as much fun capturing their progression as I have... Heck, I'm just thrilled every time I go and catch view of that 3rd beak...

Keep em coming!

Well... To EVERYONE that has responded in this thread, I say THANK YOU!!!!!.... This has been a very informative and educational thread... Lots of "experienced" responses, with things to consider....THANK YOU ALL, AGAIN! šŸ’ŖšŸ˜ŽšŸ‘

And, having printed only ONE glossy metal picture, and I have to agree with considering where you put in relation to windows.... During the the day, the reflection SUCKS... But at night, without the reflections, GREAT... that's my big beef with high gloss anything... And probably why I prefer the canvas printing...

Everyone is different on what they like, and that's why we have soooooo many choices... To each their own! Enjoy what you like!!!!

Is printing to metal a good choice for wildlife?

This is the first time I will be using Bay Photo to print my bird picture on metal.
I have read everything I can on the subject and still have questions?
1. Not sure if I should print to canvas or metal for wildlife?
2. High Gloss, Mid-Gloss, Satin, Sheer Glossy, Sheer Satin, & Textured
3. Which is better a floating back which pulls the picture from the wall or just wire hang it?
4. I was thinking of going with the rounded corners and no frame?
I have attached a photo of what Iā€™m thinking of printing.
Like to hear your thoughts and advise

That photo on metal should be striking...and I'd go high gloss, just like the water was when you captured it.

Plus he may have a higher resolution photo than what he posted.

I'd center the bird up a bit more...
And canvas is fine, but I've learned to send in a file with the saturation and contrast bumped up a bit for canvas, because they seem to print duller than what you see on your monitor.

I have got to make two more old repurposed wood frames for the other two in this bunch... But canvas is fine with me and the wife!..
Plus I can print more, cuz they're less expensive... I'll save a huge metal print for something really special... Or maybe not, just stick with canvas šŸ¤·
