Neat shot.
(I wonder why I have to open the image in a new tab to get it to fit my laptop screen without scrolling.)
thanks. not sure about the scrolling though, it fits on my laptop screen.
a staircase in an old fort in florida. the wetness of the steps was from humidity alone.

i use the fuji 50r. great camera, i added a peipro handgrip to make it more comfortable in my hand. lots of details in the files, great dynamic range. i've never wished for bigger files with the 50r, they're big enough. the lens selection is small, but fantastic. currently i have the 23mm, 32-64mm, 45-100mm and the 100-200mm. i'll probably trade the 23mm out for the 20-35mm that's coming later this year.
in the future, i might consider a 100r, if they ever make one. but more likely, i'll grab a 50rii and keep the 50r as a second camera.
not really, it looks like the last crash victims managed to get out of the plane in well enough condition to make repairs.
nice set. bombay hook is my go to location for local wildlife. lately there's been a few owl sightings between the second and third ponds.
i missed out on my first aurora in sighting in iceland by thinking it was going to be a bright green sky. it wasn't. it was a long wispy white cloud that stretched from horizon to horizon. it moved a little, but there was no color. found out the next day that it was the aurora. luckily, it was back the next night. i left the shutter open for 40 seconds before i got any decent color out of the aurora.
set up for it like you would with any other landscape shot with a lot of sky. a tripod is a must, and a cable release would be very helpful. the last night i was in iceland was a full on, bright green sky, like you'd expect.

i'm not trying to be one of those "just google it" jerks, so please don't take this post the wrong way. youtube usually has videos on camera menu settings and where to find specific settings. that's where i always go to check for my sony menu settings. sorry, i don't have the rx10 iv, or i'd suggest a specific video. mark galer is my go to for sony gear videos, try starting with him.
i work in dispatch. you always know it's gonna be that kind of day when they call for hazmat. good luck on the book!

Really awesome shot. Did you do some editing on this?
i shoot in raw, so there's some editing on all of my photos. but nothing too crazy.

The title had me expecting to see the corpse of a wise man on a hiking trail.
