A smart ultra-wide, the AF-S NIKKOR 20mm f/1.8G ED from Nikon Nano Crystal and Super Integrated Coatings have been applied to reduce flare and ghosting for improved contrast and color accuracy. Balancing the optical attributes, the lens is also characterized by a Silent Wave Motor that produces fast, smooth, and quiet autofocus capabilities, along with the ability to manually override focus at any time for more selective control.
77mm filter.

I purchased the Z5 to check mirrorless out and liked it. I have the Z7ii now and really like it. My reasons were weight and size as I am small and getting "up there" in age.

Do I miss my D850? Yes, It felt good and balanced and I trekked many a mile with it.

But I do not miss the weight and size.

My photos look just as sharp to me and the photo quality is very good.

I think the 850 was faster focus when shooting action. But with practice the Z7II may compare.

I use the FTZ adapter for my lenses while slowly buying the mirrorless versions.

I am considering buying a mirrorless camera. I currently shoot Nikon.
The new Nikon mirrorless cameras have a different lens mount. Making all my lenses useless.

so I will look at the Nikon z5 and z7II

I read the new Canon mirrorless cameras use their same lens mount and
Canon lenses are def cheaper in price that a nikon lens.
Now that I am retired money is a lot more important than before.

but if you are using a mirrorless camera, what one are you using and how do you like it
and last but most important how is the picture quality compared to your old DSLR?

I have read reviews, I have talked to salesman . everyone has an agenda , as do some of you but I know i'll get some good answers.
Thanks
I am considering buying a mirrorless camera. I cu... (show quote)

I had the D850 and it was a great camera.
The only reason I am switching is weight and size. Hauling around the 850 and the trilogy of lenses with filters etc was starting to be no fun at my age. I bought the Z5 and it works well. For me it is as good except the number of pixels.. I am getting the z7ii.
Do I miss the 850...yes I do but no regrets.
