Good morning from Port Hope Ontario Canada. It is 6:52 am EDT and 10'c (50'F). It is only going up to 12'C (54'F) with rain.
I"m glad I'm not going into work today. The highway has been closed both ways right where I get off for work, since 9pm last night when police chased a robbery suspect who went the wrong way on the highway and caused accidents on both sides of the highway with multiple fatalities. SIU, the police investigators, are investigating and will probably tell the police not to chase suspects again!
Work was busy yesterday. A lot of people were coughing because there was a vinegary smell in our room. I suspect fumes from sealing the glass panels on the new revolving door got into our room. We never have enough ventilation to get rid of fumes. Usually it is fumes from the shipping dock. One of my team members went upstairs to work because he still has access up there. The rest of us sat in the room coughing. I had a headache for most of the day. At least there were enough licenses, so I didn't have that frustration.
I finished my old project from last year. Just have to put in a lot of ends because I couldn't join balls with this one. It was cotton and yak. I'll post a picture when I'm done. It fits nicely. And I have balls left over.

Update: I was told tonight they are going to sheath one side of the house tomorrow, AND I just got a call from my woodman who's coming with 3 cords of wood. This is going to be interesting, they have roofing stuff galore, compressor, saws, ladders, 3 vehicles, hope they will be gone before the wood shows up later in the day. This is the kind of luck I have, everything happens at once! I have the rest of the rainy week to get it put in the shed, I might not be on here much as I will probably fall asleep when I get to sit down.. not kidding! xoxo

I understand because I’ve been falling asleep soon as I sit on the couch. Not taking care of myself. I’m very tired and have to take car for repair tomorrow. Want to get it done but so tired I don’t know if I can get up tomorrow early enough for them to get to it. Love the picture of your dog. Similar to mine but she is gone now. Yours is prettier. .

One chore is enough. Just do the most important chore every day and you'll find out which chores really didn't need to be done in the first place.

When I redid the bathroom items yesterday I found that the old arrangement was more practical, I’m going to try again very soon.

Mum keeps putting my things away somewhere safe, but can't remember where, so I buy a lot of replacements of just about everything. Eventually I find the original, then we have duplicates.
A collection of yarn is not a hoard, it's an investment. It will become something at some point, by someone.

I agree. I’m a good listener and probably easy going so local friends might think I need advice. They want o be helpful or think they are smarter than me and neeed to show it. Anyway usually I’m ok with listening and then doing as I think fit but when this friend of my friend called me a hoarder for the 4th time I told her I don’t like her saying that. My friend says she counseled her on it too and it won’t happen again. A hoArder has no control over the collecting. A collector has chosen what to collect. I’d love to see your socks bet they are cozy

I dunno! I have at least 75 pair of socks that my mom knit, she loved knitting socks! I've worn maybe 6 pair and take care of them. Maybe I'm a sentimental sock horder now! They are all size 7-8 so no one will benefit unless they have smaller feet.

How can any.one have too much of what they love.

I’ve had a bit of a problem concerning the properties here. To cut a long story short, our new owners have started putting a fence up in front of my house, limiting me to get off and on on my own drive……it really got me so upset and worried, I never ate for a few days and I eventually got in touch with him. Tonight him and his wife came to see me and Andrew came and there is a solution to it , his idea, 💡 that is workable. It’s awful on your own when you’re a worrier like me…..I never slept last night. But I’m sure I will tonight. I didn’t do s and b today. I just wasn’t good company and I go into a stupid little huff with myself. I’m best left alone.

I’ve once again got no news 📰 but I’m sure it will start to come again. I’ll go to knit 🧶 and Nat tomorrow. (If I can get off my drive )….only joking ….i hope.

Another day Lisa! Hope Alan is doing better my saxy, and you're in my thoughts jinx…..love yawl, stay safe.see yawl tomorrow

Reminded me of the young gentleman who wanted free tree from the city. Mom begged him not to because he was putting it just over the property line where the leaves and such would fall on our side. Well of course he got his tree with tons of one inch skinny leaves on my car and my walk. Then he sold the house and the tree lifted my sidewalk by the roots growing under it. City hasn’t commented but hope no problem arises because bet it will be for me to handle

I love working in my back yard, moving all the perennials from the other side of the fence in. I feel content and at peace in the garden!

It is quite lovely. Much to be grateful for.

I made space for the file cabinet I bought at Walmart. Hope it’s nice. Unopened box. I can’t keep using tote bags. I didn’t realize how much toilet paper I got during Covid. I think I’m set til Christmas. Put plastic tubs in the bathroom and found a lot of socks I didn’t know I had. Lady I know says that means I’m a hoarder I said no it means I can’t find the socks and keep buying new ones. Now I’ve found the lost ones I’ll donate some to the church that collects clothes for people who need them. I think she was rude calling me a hoarder. If she knew how much yarn yes she could say that 😏. But why hoard socks.
I got hooked today watching Mike and Molly episodes when they got married. Finished the book on meditation. Still not fully getting it. Started a book on the power of keeping your mouth shut in an endlessly noisy world. I took the quiz to see if I’m an over talker. I’m not Did a bit of cross stitch. Glad to be on here now Stay well and happy.

Hello hello ladies/ gals and girls.
It's the same old same here I guess.
I get a mysterious pain,I sit on it for a few weeks and when I get around to the doctor it should be gone. I actually showed up to my appt. Monday the 29th. What your thinking isn't wrong~i was a week early🥴 I think that's a first for me.
I had Mr.E and all 3 dogs in the car and mine relieved herself of all her stomach contents in the back seat~and then the center console. 🤦
She doesn't like the car. She's grown like crazy and is now the same size as the two adult doggies we have here.
She sticks to me which I adore. But she's very much in control of "the pack" when it comes to the other dogs. And just to catch me off guard she began her doggie "mensies" this week. My little furry baby is becoming a grown furry baby😳. She'll be fixed in August lol.

Speaking of pups! Those two are adorable and gonna be big too.
I still don't know what breed River is.
I'll leave y'all with a photo and talk to you again soon... Love all😘💕

Good afternoon from a drizzly Surrey. Back from France last night having spent a couple of weeks with the family. We had a great time, the younger gks English is coming along well and oldest gk is about to graduate from farming college and plans on going to Australia to work in our winter.

Done a load of laundry today and now repacking to go to Wonderwool tomorrow. We reckon it's about our 7th year of going.

Sending my love and hugs to all who need them. Xxx

They look smart and loving.

I 'technically' got my license and health card renewed yesterday. It will take 4 weeks to get my new cards to me. In the meanwhile I have to carry two pieces of paper saying that I have renewed them. Do you know what happens to paper in my purse. So I have folded them up in little wads so they will fit in my wallet. Hopefully they will be safe in there.

I keep a small zip@lock sandwich bag in my purse for receipts etc but sometimes I take it out to go thru them and forget to put it back.

Mum was snoozing in her car waiting for her doctor's office to open and someone banged on the window and asked if she was ok.
No one holds doors for anyone here. It's not politically correct.

That’s what happened to me. Fellow knocked on car window to see if I was ok I think that’s very nice. I love a person who helps me in any way holding the door or such. Yesterday I told a friend I was meeting the girls and she told me they are not girls she learned that in Some class on women’s rights or such. I should call them ladies. I said they are old ladies do you want me to call them old ladies? Well I will call them what I want to call them. there is a show called the Golden Girls and they are not little girls. I’m like the red hat ladies I will wear red and purple if I choose and be politically incorrect if I choose and it doesn’t hurt anyone’s feelings. Now I’ve stepped off my soap box.
I chatted with my friend who has cancer and her treatments brought back memories of my hub’s treatments. Made me nervous thinking of it. Pet my cat and said some prayers and feel a bit better.
