At this time of year Chipping Sparrows would be in winter plumage. The stripes are too bold for a juvenile Chipping Sparrow. Savannah Sparrows usually show a yellow lores. The bird in the photograph is a Song Sparrow.
Good set. Photos 4 & 5 appeared to have been taken at Dead Horse Point State Park in Utah. Not sure, but photo 3 may have been taken along route 128 on the way into Moab.
Thanks for posting.
You posted two great photos. Did you take any that captured the full reflection of heron? Your first photo shows a partial reflection. If you did, how did that photo compare with the one you posted? Did you try a reflection photo with a verticle composition?
Nice photos, thank you for posting them.
I have been using Corel's Paint Shop Pro for over 10 years. It provides both RAW and JPG editing, many creative features, good tutorials, and the option to continue using a program or upgrade it. Would recommend the 2022 Paintship Pro Ultra for the many AI features.
Just a terrific photo. Have you noticed that many bluebird photos from that angle or face on inspire the same thought. It may be the eyes and slight curve in the beak that creates that impression.
Hi Charlie:
Just returned from Lewes where I spent a morning taking photos of the pelicans at Cape Henlopen. Hope you enjoy the forum and using your new camera. Would appreciate any comments you have about it. I am considering the R6 in order to continue using my current Canon lenses.

I have also been experimenting with painting effects on my photos. Really liked the way you included tourists as part of your photos and also appreciated your composition. Those factors helped make these photos stand out as water colors.
I should take lessons from you. Great set.
Really thought you selected a great setting. Your variety of focus first put them into the setting, then made them stand out, but still highlighted the area without it being in complete focus. These photos displayed much thoughtfulness and attention both to the desired product (looking good engaged) and also as a whole picture. Very impressive. The couple can also enjoy the symbolism of the mill.
Enjoyed this set. Have seen Black Swans before, but never their cygnets. Thank you for sharing.
Pellet gun works best on rats!, not really. Starlings are not protected under the MBTA, but local regulations would prevent a shot. Liked your comment Curmudgeon.
What a great set. If I were seeing the first bird in your set in Maryland, would have called it a Fox Sparrow. I know there is a variation in Song Sparrows between the east and the west coast. A comparison of the photos indicates the spots are larger on first bird, head not quite so defined with the stripes. Regardless, those are great photos of birds that are tough to capture. Thanks for sharing.
I could not agree more. These photos were taken through my window at birds coming to my feeders on different days. Shot both with Tamron 150-600 on a Canon 77D using the P or automatic setting. The first was taken 1/31/21 and second 2/3/21.
Landscape shots are so difficult to compose. Your shots are just fantastic! A real inspiration to everyone. I will try harder. Thank you for sharing these photos.
These are European Robins. Her ID was correct.
