My wife and I recently returned from a two week trip to Scotland. We stayed with life long friends we made 50 years ago when I was stationed at a Naval Security Group Activity near the small town of Edzell. During our last trip, we traveled to the west of Scotland but this time we remained in the eastern part of the country where our friends live in the town of Letham, very near Forfar. I shot this image with a D7200 and 18-300mm lens as we drove through the hills near the town of Peebles in the Borders region south of Edinburgh. PP was limited to eliminating some of the shadowing of the heather in the hills. As you can see the weather was beautiful.

I know the one of Shep is kind of dark, but that is the way it was. I like it and he looks so peaceful. The hens and chicks are not technically weeds, but they grow where they want. OM-1, 40-150mm.
Well, thank you much, catgirl! I think we are going to add another rescue golden retriever in the next few months. I really want a puppy but my 10 year old golden may not approve of that much added energy.

We took a trip down to the farmer's market and found these unusual sunflowers. I haven't setup my lights in a while so this was a great opportunity. We also took a trip up to the Chateau Ste. Michelle in Woodinville, WA with Marla and sipped wine with a few photo shoots too.

Years ago, I watched a season of "Psych," and I enjoyed it. After that, I couldn't find it again. I see that it's been on for seven seasons now. It's a lightweight mystery show featuring a young man who "seems to have" psychic abilities. In reality, his father (Corbin Bernson) was a cop, and he always taught his son how to be observant and draw conclusions - like Sherlock Holmes. That's how he helps the police solve cases. It has touches of humor.
I would suggest watching from the first episode of Season 1.
The little bears must learn to swim in their very first months. Most were not super excited about the water...
Moms would take the little ones into the river while they fished. They really had to keep an eye on them as the water was deep in places and unfortunately just a few days after I left one mom lost one of her 2 cubs of the year. It got swept down stream before she noticed and another boar saw it and she lost the baby. I know it is life, but it is so hard.

The shot of the the Coronation Robe was made from pampas and lagurus grass with gilded ruscus, helichrsum and ferns. It took over 300 hours to make and resembles the one worn by HM The Queen after she was crowned.
The shots of the Magna Carta and translation follow on below the regular 10 pictures. Salisbury Cathedral is home to the best preserved of only four surviving Magna Carta documents from 1215. The other documents are held in The British Library and Lincoln Castle.
The Magna Carta's full title is Magna Carta Libertatum (Freedom). It was signed by King John of England in 1215 under threat of civil war, the Magna Carta signified a peace agreement between John and his Barons with compromises that provided them rights and protections they never had before.

We flew to Italy this July for a 10 day vacation trip mostly through the Eastern portion of Italy. We spent 3 days in Milan and here is the first set of photos showing some of the Milano architecture.
