They say that fully half of all bottled water is simply tap water that has had some extra purification. The article also says that the standards for purification of bottled water and for tap water are pretty much the same, so in the end, they are not much different. I think the term "bottled water" has been interpreted by the general public as being some sort of superior product, sort of like labeling things "organic" or "natural."

I drink Cleveland tap water filtered through a Britta filter. I never liked the taste of Cleveland public water, but the Britta filter helps it a lot, and is 20 times cheaper than buying bottled water. My mother-in-law drinks only Poland Spring Water which no more comes from an actual Polish Spring than does Polish Sausage. It tastes terrible to boot. It might be that bottled water is a gigantic superfluous business that created an artificial demand.

For those of you squabbling with Keenan, I think you are very mistaken that he is homosexual. Gay men go out and have lots of sex with other gay men, and have a vigorous social life.
