Hey Buckwheat, Many of us take photos for ourselves (the way we see and want to remember the world), and if other people enjoy an emotional attachment to them...Even though their emotions cannot be exactly the same as ours....That's just frosting on the cake as far as I'm concerned. As you were.
Check out UPS Surepost... http://www.ups.com/content/us/en/resources/track/sp_definition.html I live pretty close to the middle of nowhere, and my UPS driver drives right past my house with a package that he has to deliver to a post office 15 miles away. They deliver it the next day, unless I go ask for it myself.
I had this happen to me numerous times with my D7000 when I first got it two years ago. Someone suggested that I use a card reader instead of hooking up to my camera, and I have not had the issue since, except for one time when I tried it without the card reader.
wlgoode, We always wondered how far away those radio transmissions were coming from. I think we heard you more than once... One thing..Was that you who called in the Crash Landing on that Saturday afternoon back in the 1950's?
I like the 4 seasons and snow. No way would I go south in winter.
I figure that Winter is just part of what makes us who we are. The work that we do during the other three seasons on the farms and ranches,(producing and storing goods for the survival of animals and people) is to prepare for a time to wind down and spend time with each other. YMMV We will be fortunate if we get to see 60 or 70 of them...Might as well enjoy them :)
