Great action set!!

Thanks Jan! The sheep dog trial season is nearly over and I'm feeling like I did not get enough time with these wonderful creatures.

Great action shots Phil, especially #2. What wonderful control!

Thanks Sylvia, if I had been shooting bursts, the next frame of #2 would have shown the sheep saying " OK,OK...what ever you say...."

Terrific! I love seeing a sheep dog in action.

Thanks Sue, so do I! I can't think of many creatures on earth that show so much joy in their work.

Oh my gosh, #2 is fantastic, Phil. What a moment!

Thanks my friend! They have so many ways to make their point, athleticism, intelligence, fierce commitment and as I hoped the second shot shows, sheer force of will! They really are the boss out there. I appreciate your comment, hope you are having a good summer.

Sheep dog trials often produce a moment when the sheep requires a strong message. Biting or nipping is a disqualification but a show of teeth is not!

These shots are from a Rodeo I attended in June. Despite the sloppy conditions, there were no injuries to people or animals. Sorry for the poor quality of the Bull riding photos. It was pretty dark. I was at iso 8000 f/2.8 1/500

These are great! It is good to see you posting again. Good luck at the next rodeo and keep posting.

My favorite bird to photograph is the Green Heron. They are acrobatic, emotional, and I find them to be quite funny. Found this guy hunting along shore rocks. Can't decide if he looks like a stalker, or just grumpy over the one he just missed.

Thanks for looking, enjoy the download.

Download looks great, nice work!

Madame P, holding her new love, at last relented and told her pet frog (formerly world-famous and usually inebriated artist GoGo van Gogh-Gogh) that she would restore him to human form if he would swear to 1)stop making passes at her, and 2)do another portrait for her.

Tired of eating bugs for lunch, he quickly agreed. A quick *POOF* and two fingers of the Martian's Plutonium Joy Juice later, he squinted at the lady and kitten for a moment, then staggered off to begin work.

This is beautiful Randy, gave me an 'all is right with the world' moment...thanks!

Folks, got to check this off my bucket list last M... (show quote)

I always enjoy your work James but this is an exceptional set. As Carol said, you really nailed the exposure on the rocks which for me is the subject matter here. Perfect handling of strong light. The clarity, composition and processing truly honor this interesting place. Very fine work! Bookmarked
