When those within the administration are and have been acting in what could be considered a treasonous manner, then it is the responsibility of the press to bring the details of those actions to the attention of all Americans.

This would have been admirable if the press did the same reporting on the Obama administration's lies and deceptions. As it is, they are only reporting on Trump's fibs because they don't like Republicans. They are now even making stuff up out of thin air to try to denigrate Trump.

As far as your claims that there has been no proof provided of the trump Russian collusion, ALL of those investigations are still being conducted, and the very nature of them would require that their results be kept "Secret" until they've reached their conclusions.

CIA chief John Brennan, National Intelligence Director James Clapper, Senator Diane Feinstein who sits on the Intelligence committee, have all publicly said there is no evidence at all of Trump collusion with Russia. And these are the Democrats! When Sally Yates testified before Congress after a huge build-up of expectations, not a single Democrat Senator even bothered to ask her if she knew of any evidence. http://www.realclearpolitics.com/video/2017/05/23/gowdy_grills_john_brennan_do_you_have_evidence_of_trump-russia_collusion_or_not_brennan_i_dont_do_evidence.html

Don't you think that with all the mega leaking going on that some little chink of evidence or even a whisper by some "anonymous" official would have been leaked to the public by now. The hungry sharks in the press would have devoured this information like alligators in a meat house. There is not even a mere allegation of wh**ever the hell Trump did to collude.

Democrats are going to regret ever clinging onto this f**e story. I already see them trying to lower expectations by citing the "ongoing investigation where the public will have to sit back and wait in silence" as a way of avoiding having to talk about the substance anymore. When it is finally debunked, the shocked Democrats, unable to accept the evidence, will spawn numerous conspiracy theories of why it was covered up. I can't wait.

I can never understand how Hillary instils such fear and loathing in conservatives. I ask, but no one ever offers insight.

For one, Hillary would have aligned with Putin and Russia, and would not have sent a big scare into Syria. She made a big public showing as Secretary of State by pushing a symbolic "reset button" with the Russian Ambassador to show that we are in a new era of cooperation with the Russkies. This, on top of her okaying a deal with a uranium mining company that put 20% of U.S. uranium deposits in Russian control.

To add to this, one of Obama's re-e******n issues was that he was a supporter of Russia while Romney was warning us that the Russkies were one of our greatest threats. Of course, Romney was openly mocked by Democrats for suggesting such a thing.

Don't believe that for a second. Trump has not shown himself to be limp wristed, ala Korea and MOAB. I don't believe Putin's going to test anything based upon what Trump didn't say in public. Afterall....he also didn't renounce Article 5, now, did he? We don't know what the heck he's telling the Russians in private. Trump will back NATO. Considering that NATO is basically a European coalition, however, put together due to the spectre of the USSR and now Russia, he's rattling some chains to scare the crap out of them to take things seriously. If Merkel is saying "we've got to take care of ourselves," then Trump has accomplished more than who knows how many Presidents have in trying to get Nato members to carry their weight financially.

You see things through such a distorted lens that you cannot see anything positive that a person you're opposed to might accomplish.

Wrong my friend, Yes Obama did ask Congress which was controlled by Reps in the house and Democrat held Senate but then a short time later asked Congress to NOT v**e on the authorization. Obama made this request to congress not to v**e on the basis of Syria agreeing to give up their chemical weapons...How did that work out.? "Obama had decided he was not going to attack and used Congress as a human shield. He never intended to strike Syria and cynically used the US Congress to give him cover for his decision." << Of course this quote is just an opinion from the author of the article.

This is not only correct, but on top of it, former Assistant Secretary of State Tony Blinken admitted that the administration knew all along that Syria did not get rid of its chemical weapons according to "the deal" and lied about it to the public.

Putin's fondest wish--dream, really--is weakening NATO, and guess who is doing that for him?

But this is a contradiction. If Germany steps up its defenses then NATO will be strengthened, not weakened.

Are you really that unconcerned about what people in other countries perceive our president to be like? Der Spiegel is one of those largest and most respected newspapers in Europe. In this era of globalization, it should be a concern of all Americans what the rest if the world thinks of our president. We do not live in a vacuum by ourselves. Americans should lose sleep over international perceptions of us when they say things like:

“He is a man free of morals. As has been demonstrated hundreds of times, he is a liar, a r****t and a c***t. I feel ashamed to use these words, as sharp and loud as they are. But if they apply to anyone, they apply to Trump. And one of the media’s tasks is to continue telling things as they are: Trump has to be removed from the White House. Quickly. He is a danger to the world.”

You are correct! I could care less what someone in Germany thinks about our president or about America. My parents and school teachers used to teach us kids that being "popular" was a shallow goal to attain in life. Standing up for good principles was supposed to be more important, even if others disagreed with you. I also know that with all the constant complaining and griping that you hear about America, coming mostly from other affluent Western Countries, we are still the place where everybody else wants to live. We are kind of like the Wal-Mart of the World - because we are the most successful, we get all the complaints, while minor Hell Holes like Haiti and Central African Republic remain invisible.

Germany is stepping up because NATO no longer trusts Trump and the USA, and is taking responsibility, possibly including nuclear weapons.

And you think this is a bad thing? It might be that Trump is right to shame Nato members into taking more responsibility for defense. I thought that Liberals like you were against the U.S. taking the dominant role in World military affairs, no?

Anytime the jackels start attacking the person that made the post and say nothing about what is in it, you know they have no defense and have lost. Good job!!

What is there exactly to rebut? It is a newspaper article written in Germany by a man who gives his opinion that he doesn't like Trump. The author makes no fact claims, just a list of his dislikes. I don't think many Americans are losing sleep over this.
