I want to buy a Canon 70-200mm f/4 L IS lens in great condition. I already have an immaculate 70-200mm f2.8 L without the image stabilizer but as I age I want to exchange for the smaller, lighter lens. Previously I didn't need IS shooting my son's night-time soccer games at high shutter speed but did need the f/2.8 for lower light. Now his college team plays only in daylight so perhaps I can get by using an f/4 L IS and also use it for general walk-around.

I sometimes use an ef 70-300 f/4-5.6 IS USM and it could be a complimentary lens to the L glass you already have. BH has the lens for $399 or $499 for the -II. Also the weight is only 1.39 lbs. Here is the link.

Including a shot I took with it today.
Or, you could get the version that has l glass, here is a link to a refurbished at Canon USA for $1079. Bh has em too.

I am under the flight path for Planes of Fame in Chino. When they come south to turn and go back they seem to use my block for their pivot point. Exactly 10 miles from me to Chino Airport directly north south.

I flew in a C-47/DC3 once, Ozarks Airlines operated them all up and down the Mississippi Valley. I flew out of Paducah, Kentucky on one. The airlines often bought surplus C-47s, (DC3 only a bit over 600 were produced until 42 and a few in 1950-there were so many C-47s and variants, over 10,000, they didn't need to make DC3s, just modify and relabel) - upgraded and updated them for passenger or air freight service and labeled them all as DC3s. The Soviets made licensed copies until 1954. Some of theirs got bomb racks and a top turret.
In Nam "Air America" (aka CIA) kept getting new planes to replace the ones they lost or wore out until at least 69* when I came home. Our local air base had a large bone yard full of them being used for parts. Even one DC2 they took a wing off of to keep a DC3/C-47 flying until they replaced it with the right one. Everyone joked that the CIA had the only DC2 1/2 in the world. Some of those CIA people could even keep a straight face when they claimed they were an airline, not the CIA.

*If US production stopped in 42 for the DC3 and 45 for the C-47 (except the few DC3s in 50) and Soviet production stopped in 54, were did Air America get those brand new planes that showed up at the air base on a regular basis? They arrived mostly still silver/aluminum then got painted flat black with markings in gloss black (a few in camo but mostly flat black) and off they flew. My Army unit operated the Tactical Operations Center for the region and I saw some of those guys when they came on business. They maintained they were a civilian airline even with us and my section Sgt and our Lt Col were both former NATO intel and had known some of them personally in Europe.

There are many things we are not meant to know. Especially about aircraft.

Failed attempt at humor. C-47. You could use em like donkeys. Reliable as hell.
The Air Museum here just happened to be flying this bird today. They have P51 Mustang rides too. Check em out:

I am split between a female house finch and a female Cassin's Finch.

The Lady of the House insists it looks like a house finch. Says they come with red coloring at times too. It would seem most of the LBB’s we see are finches, but luckily we also have a nice wide variety of other birds to pose for and surprise us with cool opportunities for a great photo.
I was out for a walk today and came across these guys. I did a minor light and shadow fix and cropped as needed.
Used my 100-400 II on my walk.

Actually, genuine Apple power cords have a device/connection in the cable connector that is recognized by the IPad or IPhone as being a genuine Apple cable, and your strange issues may be due to the lack of that device. In fact, some Apple devices will not work with certain 3rd party cables - this is just a mechanism to keep you purchasing overpriced (and poorly constructed) Apple cables at ~$25 each, which is at least $15 more than they should cost, but Apple is always overpriced. This is a marketing, not an engineering issue. The cables, whether from Apple or 3rd party, are simply copper wires (except for the Apple-specific device or connection in the connector). There is no fiber - the cable is copper, and there is no significant bleed over between conductors unless the insulation fails and the copper conductors actually touch. Likewise, the connector is not “overstressed” (except in a mechanical sense and then only if abused) when being attached or disconnected - that is its “normal” operation. In the end, you may have to switch to another 3rd party cable or an OEM Apple to alleviate the issue (or charge when you’re not using and unplug before use).

The bleedover effect is from induction. Loss of insulate material will increase its effect. The cables copper fibers are so thin, I tend to call them fibers. Perhaps I should have said copper fiber, but did not think I needed to clarify.

Fact average rise in temp. I'm the last 150 years is .8 C

Here is some published research for y’all. It shows an increase over the last 250 years of 1.5 degrees C. http://berkeleyearth.org/summary-of-findings/

It does not appear to be much of an increase, but it has very much changed our climate and brought on some mega storms. Many studies show that these storms will most likely increase in intensity and become much more common.
So let’s see, snow in SE Georgia, 100 degrees below zero wind chill in New Hampshire, 3 Cat5 Hurricanes in the Caribbean, inordinate amounts of rain along with these hurricanes, No, I don’t think you can say that it is natural.
Who needs Gore when you have science.
Or you could just keep your head in the sand and freeze your a** off.

Oh, I just want to say how much I did not enjoy your racism. As follows:

It is so cold back East, Elizabeth Warren is claiming to be an eskimo.
Now that's funny!!!

No, it’s not funny, it is a sick racist joke put forth by a man with no class.

Kind of the point we are making. They last just so long and then you toss them out.

Yes, every time you unplug the connections become overstressed. The fibers lose what little insulation they have and bleedover voltage causes the anomalies we see. I don’t buy the expensive cords anymore, but I don’t get the cheap vinyl ones either. They only last about 2 months.

They are cheap if bought online.

I get the braided ones for my IPad Pro. They last about 6months.

Global warming--the big joke.

Of course there’s global warming; there’s been global warming and global cooling since the beginning of time, and it runs in cycles. There’s nothing we do to cause it, and there’s nothing we can do about it. I read the other day that nutty Al Gore said the polar ice caps would be melted by now. I also read that the truth is they are getting larger. It’s been hot before; it’s been cold before; it’s been dry before; it’s been wet before; we’ve had lots of snow before; we’ve had a dearth of snow before. We’ve had dramatic upheaval before--where do folks think all those buried dinosaur fossils came from?

There, I’ve said it. Complain, argue, or whatever all you want. I don’t care. This is my story, and I’m sticking to it. Counter-arguments will fall on deaf ears.

A closed mind is a wasted opportunity. An unyielding opinion indicates a loss of creativity. How can I ever be a great photographer if I close down the input. Oh sure, I can be good technically, but my captures will just be...... well......Sad.
