"Trump subsequently deleted the tweet, but – here’s a shock – he seems to be loving the attention. At 6.09am EST he wrote “Who can figure out the true meaning of “covfefe” ??? Enjoy!”

Enjoy doesn’t seems quite right: it’s not exactly reassuring to know that the man with the nuclear codes can’t execute a tweet accurately. But we’re on this ride so we might as well get what entertainment we can from it."

Thanks for the enlightenment. It reinforces my view that the vast majority of news stories are just a form of entertainment.

My friend, you are just wrong--wrong on fact, and wrong on history.

And this is your strangest retort of all:

"Ya know, for a professor, you sure don't seem to know the basic difference between facts and opinions. To you , a "fact" is just anything that fits your own worldview."

You sum up your own position perfectly. You don't know what a fact is. You don't know opinion. You don't know history.

You don't know nuttin'!

Seldom have I read a person so misinformed as you, so lacking in fundamental knowledge of t***h or fiction, of history or slander, or so confused about what constitutes fact, confused about opinion, confused about it all.

I sympathisize with you for your ignorance, for you foolhardy confidence that misleads me to the path of embarrassment for you (even if you don't understand, yourself), for your supreme confidence that you think you know the meanings of simple words and clear concepts, and that throwing big words and errant history around carelessly makes you informed and respected, makes you knowledgeable, or competent.

But I appreciate your efforts. You bring amusement to the knowing, conviction to the uninformed, disbelief to the studious, consternation to those who are rational, vindication to the empty minded, and a misplaced sense of superiority to yourself.

Seldom had ignorance rewarded so many, blemished thought so throughly, and polished the nob of pretension so convincingly, and proved so completely misguided.

You set a standard that will last for days: You are the perfect Trump v**er.

As I said in another post, I am through trying to talk to both you and Keenan. Your retorts are so bizarre that I am starting to think that you are purposely playing some sort of annoying game to see "what is the most ridiculous comment I can come up with." You don't really want to have conversations with anybody here. It is really pathetic that a 77 year-old former college professor should spend all of his time writing these long diatribes against people he doesn't like. Maybe it is your only form of entertainment. I for one, have found infinitely more rewarding things to do online than talking to you. Good luck.

First of all, no one has been disarmed in this country, and I say this as a gun owner. In case you haven't looked, the Supreme Court strengthened the interpretation of the Constitution in regard to guns, and not one person has lost his guns to the government.

Second, policy on gun ownership--for or against-- ha absolutely nothing to do with C*******m. You have no idea what C*******m is. Also, no one has reduced the freedom of speech in this country. That freedom is protected by the Constitution, and no one charges that we have lost freedom of speech in any way.

There were losses of freedoms in the Patriot Act, v**ed and affirmed by 'our' congress.

We have not moved toward a socialist economy; you have no idea what Socialism means, and no one is advocating Socialist programs for this country.

There have been No Moves to euthanasia in this country; that is panic proclaimed by uninformed conservative politicians and has absolutely no basis in fact.

No one is advocating k*****g the unfit; where do you get this stuff?

And remember political violence against political opponents is something Trump started.

I'm afraid you are scared on a lot of things that arent' real and don't happen. Panic is never a good program, but observing reality is a Good start. Try it.

I'm tired of trying to converse with you and Keenan. You guys don't argue in good faith, and are lost in some sort of isolated little Bubble World. Keenan should find real a job, and you should find a real life with some meaning. Have fun playing with each other.

Btbg, you do not know your history. You would do well to study the years of bipartisanship during the last half of the 20th century, when the kind of obstructionism that runs rampant in today's Congress and Senate just didn't happen. It was common back then for the parties to cooperate in approving most SCOTUS nominees of the opposite party, barring some outrageous disqualifying aspects. For you to claim that the Democrats during that time never v**ed for a conservative justice indicates that you just do not know your history. There is much you are either ignorant about, or being less than honest about, when you make such bogus blanket assertions like you just did.

I may well rue the day we elected Trump, but that at least gives us a chance. Another liberal judge appointed by Clinton and any vestige of the country that I know and love would have been irrevocably gone. And it should be pointed out that would have already happened if not for Trump being elected. To you that is a bad thing. To me that at least gives our country a chance of survival, albeit small.

I will take that chance over no chance. Obama nearly destroyed our country. If the Republicans don't get their act together and fix the affordable care act, which was done so fairly, since Republicans being unfair seems to be a topic on this thread, just the financial weight of that one signature accomplishment of Obama's presidency may destroy us, let alone some of the other policies and executive orders that he passed.

The only reason that you can't see how bad Obama and Clinton were and are for our country is because you are like minded. The only thing that I can think of that Obama did that was good was to act p**********l most of the time, except for when he was badmouthing conservatives.

I would rather have a president who is anything but p**********l, but at least isn't advancing a progressive agenda than a president who acts p**********l on the surface, but knowingly ignored the constitution.

Remember Obama is a constitutional scholar and he had more executive orders overturned by the courts as unconstitutional than any other president in history. Pretty amazing, especially when you consider just how liberal many current judges are.

How about disarming the populace, the suppression of free speech, Obama's revving up spying on Americans especially journalists, the move to a Socialistic economy, moves toward euthanasia and k*****g the unborn and unfit, and using violence against one's political opponents.

I copy and paste from a website , if he want he can retrieve it by a simple word with Google

"It's not your grandfather's Democrat Party anymore. In fact, it's not even your father's party anymore. With the powerful Democratic Party Platform Committee featuring a number of prominent socialists and c*******ts, the Democrat Party's draft platform has moved further toward full-blown extremism and totalitarianism than ever before. Indeed, the proposed platform now includes an unprecedented array of extreme anti-constitutional proposals practically guaranteed to alienate mainstream Americans — at least if the public finds out.

From tax-funded a******n worldwide and banishing millions of Americans from the workforce with a $15-per-hour minimum wage, to empowering a United Nations “climate” regime and prosecuting skeptics of the man-made global-warming theory, the Democrat Party's latest guiding document reads almost like a parody concocted by Republicans to make their rivals look ridiculous. An examination of the extremists sitting on the body that drafted the agenda, though, helps explain how one of America's two main parties could have openly moved so far to the fringes in such a short time period."

I got that off of the normal mass media coverage from the last two years. Hillary violated law and State Department rules by secretly installing her own unsecure server, and all her E-mails have been hacked bey every major foreign country's intelligence department.

This is not a fact, this is your opinion. The lefty Federal Judges have not even attempted to make anything out of this.

NATO has existed since WWII, and is the most successful military treaty ever, having kept peace in Europe for some seventy years. FACT.

No matter how hard you try, you cannot verify with any certainty what the most successful military treaty ever was. This is an opinion. I could easily argue that in just the last one-hundred years, the Allied alliances of World Wars I & II were more successful.

Putin's fondest dream, and Russians before him, too, is to separate the USA from Germany, and from Europe. Trump is seriously setting out to do the same--destroying the long term prospect for peace in Europe! I think we can all agree that WW III in Europe would involve everyone losing 'big time.' And the first step in going to war is weakening or destroying NATO. Fact.

This is nothing but your pure opinion, and you end by saying "fact."

We know Trump's platform for e******n was Trumpcare, better than Obamacare, cheaper than Obamacare, and healthcare for everyone--except it just isn't true, is it? First bill--they couldn't even bring it to a v**e--was going to cost 26,000,000 people their healthcare, with vastly more expensive payments, for less coverage. That's a disaster in anyone's book, and it's a fact.

This is an unverifiable prediction, and therefore not a fact.

Ya know, for a professor, you sure don't seem to know the basic difference between facts and opinions. To you , a "fact" is just anything that fits your own worldview.
