I'd forget FF and buy a D7200 used with low shutter count. Your lenses will work fine and with the money you save over a D750 or D500 will mean you can get some really good glass. If you must go to FF then consider a D610 - again low shutter count 2nd hand. If you are nervous then buy from a reputable dealer rather than eBay. Remember that lenses for FF are heavier and more expensive. Unless you are planning to make a living I'd stay with the D7200. Alternatively sell all your Nikon stuff and buy into the Fuji system light, great lenses and nice bodies that have just gone out of production XT10 & XT1. Fantastic cameras - I have Nikon and Fuji - I love the weight difference and the feel of the Fuji cameras. Good luck.

Ha Ha Ha - it was Nikon v Canon now it's PC v Mac. Come on everyone does it matter? The only thing that matters is the user and the experience they want/get. I can't stand Windows machines so I use Mac many on here can's stand Apple/Mac so they use Windows PCs. So what who really cares? Have a good day.

As a lifetime Mac user I love Macs and I am 100% biased towards them.

They have an intuitive, user-friendly interface (in my opinion).

As for connectivity to the web and ability to use Post Processing S/W software they are great - my current software is LR5.7, Luminar, Alien Skin Exposure X2, On1 and a few others.

Macs interface perfectly with many Microsoft products, they are fast, resilient and a joy to use.

If you are into Wintel machines that's great - there are lots of excellent products out there for you to choose from, so enjoy.

The rule for me is to maximise RAM - 16Mb minimum, get as fast a processor you can afford and a really good quality SSD hard drive (though the fusion drive on my current MacMini is pretty fast) also invest in reliable external hard drives for back up. Also get a great display and the largest you can accommodate and afford. Consider factory refurbished or second hand - my current computer was bought from ebay at a fraction of the price of a new machine.

There is no "best" system. As with your camera it is whatever you like to use and what suits you best.

Have fun and make some great photos.

Hi again,

I strongly recommend the trip to Nicaragua - you will not regret it - Lake Nicaragua is huge. Talking to some folks last night who had recently been there (they are in the hospitallity business like us) and they were raving about it. You'll love Monte Verde - it's cool (and wet) in comparison to Guanacaste which is v hot and generally dry. Pura Vida.

Hi Grace,

Arrange a trip to Nicaragua. You are less than an hour away from the border. Visit Lake Nicaragua. Maybe take two days. It is really worthwhile. Visit all the beaches along the Golfo de Papagayo where you are - lots of monkeys, wildlife etc. Maybe a day trip to Arenal Volcano......You are also surrounded by National Parks so some visits to them would be great too. Have a wonderful time. Pura Vida

Hi I live in Costa Rica - Playa Tamarindo in Guanacaste and have had no problems so far with humidity with my cameras/lenses - important - do not leave your stuff unattended. If you are here on holiday for a short time it is unlikely you will have any problems with humidity but you can always pop some silica sachets in your camera bag if you are worried. Just remember to bring lots of bug spray!
I always use a UV filter to protect my front lens element and generally a lens hood. Both protect the lens and lens hoods work well as far as I'm concerned - they do seem to have gone out of fashion. Many people say this is not necessary with digital cameras (the UV filter) but I did slip on an icy deck in the UK some years back and my lens hood broke when I hit the floor not the lens!
Have a great time in Costa Rica. Hope this helps a bit. Pura Vida
