This was written awhile ago, when the article mentions Tip O'Reilly as speaker of the House. It still applies today, however the authors dismissal of lobbyists as not being one of the root causes of congresses disfunctionality is wrong in my opinion. In this day and age the congressman accepts the million dollars from the lobbyist and doesn't blink an eye about doing it. To get reelected without accepting monies into the campaign chest, from the lobbyists, our politicians would spend the majority of their time fund raising instead of trying to govern. Maybe it's time we revisit how we fund electing our Senator's and Representatives and outlaw all lobbyists. This would be a start and maybe they could learn how to work across the Isle again and v**e what's good for the American people and not the party line as they so often do today.

I'm still trying to figure out how Trump is dealing with Kim. Acting tough and talking tough with someone who doesn't understand how insignificant he and his country are on the world stage is not the answer. In regards to thinking that past administration's were just setting around doing nothing while Kim was acting like a petulant child is an ill conceived idea at best. I would speculate that the past administration and those before his have had an active dialogue with the North Korean through diplomatic channels. There have been a lot of behind the scene scenario's that we John Q. public were never privy to nor will we ever be. I would wager that there are almost daily cables between Washington and Beijing trying to get them to rein in their favorite dictator. To believe that the past administration sat around with their thumbs up their asses and just ignored North Korea for eight years is hard to believe. If you're going to have the rhetoric that Trump is spouting then you better have some backstage diplomacy going on with it.

I should clarify, from my last post, that my drone is a Typhoon H and I have it registered with the FAA which cost five dollars for three years. Anyone who tries to fly a big drone unregistered is just looking to get it taken away.

I have the same drone and just love it, one of my goals this summer will be to shoot as many of the small water falls around Multnomah Fall, as I can. Everyone has seen lots of pictures of the largest one in the Columbia River Gorge but some of the smaller ones on either side of it are as spectacular to look at.

When the excitment dies down and everyone sees the reality, the country will realize that the jobs are not coming back from China, the coal mines are not going to reopen, the steel mills are not going to be rebuilt. The wall across the border with Mexico will not be built nor will 12 million i*****l a***ns be deported. Last but not least Hillary will not be prosecuted Nothing ever really changes when it comes to electing the President, the American v**ers just elect which ever candidate can spin the best bulls**t, plain and simple. The country will survive this e******n and move on.
