I am planning to "write" my life story in a photo album with printed pics. Doubt my kids will be interested in viewing thousands of photos on my computer but they might enjoy one album for a keepsake. My parents have recently passed and we're in the process of going through their many albums; most of the pics will be tossed--you just can't keep everything. Any more, I take pictures for my own benefit knowing no one else may ever see them and it's okay.

First, thank you all who advised me on which bridge camera to buy. I know I need a class 10 card memory card, but which speed card is best for this camera? Will the 8x Sandisk (Extreme) do? The Extreme Pro? or is the latter overkill on this type of camera? Thanks again.

Have been enjoying reading posts even though I'll never have a DSLR and now need to ask:
What are your thoughts on following cameras because it's time for me to upgrade from Lumix FZ35 and learn a new camera before trip to Africa in November or January. I'm considering these:
Lumix FZ70
Lumix FZ200
Canon SX50
Nikon P510 or 520
(Also plan to take a Lumix ZS25 or 30)
Would an armpod vs. tripod be suitable for my trip?
