There's only a couple of weeks left until the Eagle migration on the Idaho/Washington border. The migration is typically from BC and Alberta where they come to feast on dying spawning Kokanee salmon. Hundreds of birds can be seen at close range and sometimes even a 250mm kit lens can be too much glass I have often blown (filled) 2 mem cards in one morning. This was taken last year. Thanks for looking

I go to a lot of culturally themed festivals in the greater Seattle area. There are many of them throughout the year and they are all free. These images were taken at this year's Dia de Muertos (Day of the Dead) festival at the Seattle Center a couple weeks ago. The Aztec dancers shown here are known as Tloke Nahuake and they are dynamic performers. I hope you enjoy these images. Thanks in advance for taking a look. These shots were all taken with a Tamron 70x200 f/2.8 G2 lens mounted on a Nikon D500.

These are amazingly beautiful! Great work, thanks for posting. Phil
I'm doubling down on my post from last week's visits to the wildlife refuges in the northern Sacramento valley. It is my hope to encourage UHH folks to visit and support wildlife refuges in their area. In addition to offering wonderful photo opportunities, these places provide a necessary support system to hundreds of thousands of migrating birds. Visit one and you will not be disappointed. I saw more Ring-necked Pheasants on these sanctuaries than usual. I'm guessing they know pheasant hunting season starts this week!
Thanks for validating this effort Kathy. It's good to get feedback on these shots, and you're making me seriously consider sending them to the owners.
These are great fun and well done! Don't delete and yes, of course, send them to the owners. If they don't like these they don't truly love thier best friends.
