In this case, I would buy 3 new batteries, test them, (I've bought several clunkers at reputable stores) just to be safe.

Thanks for the added info, I looked at all the shots of your eclipse adventure and enjoyed them.

Yes , especially the part about multiple shots. Thanks for that. I got about a dozen at totality that I'm pretty happy with and am now researching/learning how to process them.
None of my shots look as sweet as yours but I am not disappointed.
I went Carbondale, Il. Where we had 2' and 30"+ of totality and it went by quickly. I told myself before hand that I would spend at least half of totality just soaking it in and I did. This cost me some shots but I'm galad I did it, it was way beyond awesome.
Thanks again and now we wait for 2024!
