It's worth the trip, just not a good time right now....
Roger that, and we Will make the trip!
Again, thanks to all who have commented, We have pretty much given up on Or. Wa. and Idaho much to my disappointment. We are still going to Reno and maybe Utah but I gotta say, what a bummer!
Glad I started this thread though, would of really stunk to take the northern route into Idaho and then learn this the hard way.
Nice set. The last two are just a tich to fuzzy for me but the first one is dreamy perfect. You should frame it and hang it!
Since you are posting pics I assume you are ok , but I have seen some video of the Lolo fire that is waaaaaay scary looking. Please be very carefull.

Love the first and last shot. Great work!
Tom..
It's a nice set of shots but these two are Wowsers.
I see why, it's attractive and humble.
Nice shots.
Beautifull set Angela. I particularly like the way you presented no. 3. Gorgeous soft colors and perfectly framed.
Wow, sounds terrible fire wise. We have personal affairs to take care of in Reno so that part is still on. Rest of trip looking to be different from original plans barring a miraculous change in the weather.
Thanks again to all, nothing beats hands on experience.
Thanks for all the input everyone, I'm starting to get pretty fired up, sounds lik we will have to just check things out as we go.
Nice work on the shots and documentation.
You captured an almost to strange to be true event that probably happens about a trillion times a day. Truely awesome.
Thanks everyone.
I think a reschedule is out of the question so current plan is Reno then Pacific coast and flexibility. .
Looks like a piece of art. Had to be hard to part with.
Any idea what year of manufacture was?
My wife and I plan to leave Mi. Tues morning for a trip to Pacific Northwest.
Mt Ranier, Mt hood, Colombia gorge, falls etc on the wish list. Watching the news we are wondring how big an issue smoke will be on visibility and photo opps.
One alternative is going to Reno/Tahoe then to coast and head north to Or. and Wa.
Another option is No. Cal and Yosemite, and other N.P.s.
I wondered if any UHH folks in the area could offer some insight. Is the smoke everpresent or does it ebb and flow, any areas worthless right now or any areas a-ok?
Thanks in advance!
Not sure if reserve will help out, the issue is lack of refineries not lack of crude.
We'll see.
