Bullfrogs, Looks a whole lot better! thanks
[quote=DWHJR]It truly is a remarkable camera. I have had it for to weeks today. Just wIsh I had more choices with f stops, maybe I do and don't know it yet. The feather picture was a grab shot, at t'he right spot and time with my camera. Thanks!

Please do. What PP do you use? I'm looking at Lightroom and Corel Paint Shop X4.
Paintedhorses, Love the comment. Thanks
Thank you, love the feedback whether positive or constructively negative.
Bullfrogs the moon photo was taken with a Canon SX40IS, this camera is a 35x optical, 10x digital zoom. I took the photo just before dusk. I have had the camera only two weeks and this was my first photo with it. Quite a remarkable camera. Oh by the way, I'm new to digital photography and its jargon, what does PP mean?
all photos taken with Canon SX40IS
feather and rain
moon scape
corn rows
Sorry just a typo, should have been UHH. THANKS
Newbie here. Found HHG while searching the web one evening and I really enjoy it. Been a long time Canon user. Lived in upstate NY and moved south in 1989, this caused me to take a 23 year sabbatical from photography because the water is so darn expensive here, really loved darkroom work. I could get lost in my darkroom forever, most relaxing with the music and all. But any way I finally have gotten the nerve to step into the digital world, purchased a canon SX40. Quite an impressive camera but does have limitations for me, I don't think I have enough f stop choices. I really enjoy macro work and everything I thought I new is a whole lot different in the digital world. Well I have to get some shots posted as soon as I feel comfortable with the new camera. I really enjoy critiques, so please don't pull any punches, I' m a big boy and it is a great way to learn!
