Oh so pretty, Ed. You have a magic touch when it comes to flowers.

Very nice. I especially like the way the background isolates the bird in the second shot.

That second image is absolutely a perfect capture, Vicky!

Good thing you can't hear me join you in singing along to this ditty. There was a time I sang in church and various groups but can't carry a tune today. A lovely presentation of the beautiful hibiscus, Ed! You do have a way with flowers.

The contrast of the last snows (one hopes of Winter) conflicting with early Spring growth has a primal tension to it. These captures try and hold some of that tension for me. The fifth piece I called "Is Mr. Tumnus Near?" a reference from the Chronicles of Narnia. I saw the snow and the lamp post and thought, "where is the Faun?"

#'s 2 and 3 grab my attention. Steve. I'm not sure if we'll ever see the last snow here in Michigan. It's been a strange winter. I also find the birch bark with snow a pleasing image.

The Martian threw a 'welcome back' bash last night, celebrating Madame P's return to duty at the Ministry. Chopper, Madame P's Peruvian Piranha Dog, was first in line at the punch bowl, which as usual was filled with the Martian's Plutonium Joy Juice. Warnings were posted regarding the punch's kick, but someone chose to disregard them and indulge himself freely.

Bump ejected him from the party, locking him in Madame P's room after Chopper became completely obnoxious, put a lampshade on his head, and repeatedly tried hitting on SuperGoose, who was not amused.

One can only imagine the size of his headache his morning. Maybe hair of the dog?

I think Chopper is long overdue for AA. Good shot of him in spite of his inebriated condition, Randy.

Too bad the Kingfisher didn't honor you with his presence. I wouldn't feel too bad since you captured this sweet little bird instead. Well done, Jim!

So happy to hear the Meadowlarks singing throughout Antelope Island.
They are a challenge to photograph but I get lucky once in awhile and they pose for me.
I can't get enough of them now!

Outstanding image of the beautiful meadowlark, Judy. I use to see them when I was a kid but haven't seen any for ages. I'm glad you shared this.

Madame P claims she's not at her best yet, and therefore isn't ready to sit for me. I, of course, find her lovely as ever, but will honor her wishes, having no desire to be turned into a frog. Again.

But nothing was said about painting her. So for her party the other night, as a welcome-back gift, I took an old snap or two to one of the Ministry's more colorful characters, the world-famous (and usually drunk) artist-in-residence, Go-go van Goghgogh, and challenged him to work his own brand of magic.

I think she liked it, as I haven't croaked.

One of my favorite portraits of your lovely Madam P., Randy. The dream-like expression is enchanting. She looks more like her 'old' self.

This place is wonderful, a true experience. Located in Chino Valley, Az. $50 an hour to photograph several owls outdoors. You can hold some of them. These people have permits for all these birds and he is a Master Falconer. They have two Bald Eagles in a huge cage that you can go into and photograph.

These show the 50 bucks was well spent, Azboy. Exceptional captures of the raptors.

The town of Squamish is located at the northern end of Howe Sound, which is a fjord stretching down to the Pacific ocean just north of Vancouver. I was lucky to live there for several years and spent as much time as I could walking the many trails around town.
This part of the world is a temperate rain forest and full of amazing sights, sounds and smells. Most photos taken with Nikon D40 and a very mediocre lens but who cares?

An nice series taken on your walks, Brasspounder. It looks like there were photo ops galore and you did a fine job capturing a variety of interesting subjects.
