Two miles out in to the pasture I found this most unusual shaped tree. It looks to me like a creature from a Sci-Fi movie. Perhaps it was in a war and mortally wounded and cursed to be rooted into the ground here on Earth, never to return to it's original Home, where ever that is. Sounds like a good Movie script to me!

That creepy creature looks ready to attack. Thanks for sharing this interesting image, Audie.

Thought I would post this here to share with the main photo forum folks. Enjoy

I don't usually think of insects as beautiful, but in the case of your stick insect, I can think of nothing more descriptive. I've photographed lots of praying mantis and been bitten by them a couple times. They're neat insects but nothing to compare to your stick insect.

I was able to visit one of my favorite places to hike: Olympic National Park. FWIW, this is the only true rain forest located in Continental North America and boasts the highest annual rainfall as well. If you want to grow moss between your toes, Forks, WA is the place to go.

I like your captures of scenic ONP, Lone Ranger! I'd give the last image a blue ribbon if there was one in the Smilies.

Spotted in Tlaquepaque Village, Sedona.

A delightful image, Charmdragon. I love Sedona and Tlaquepaque is a favorite place with photo ops galore. What a neat idea to have the pretty lady pose with the frog. I love it!

As you can see here, kookaburras are not so little.

The image was shot by the man (Martin Jacka) you see in the photo.
He had another camera on a tripod and actuated it with the remote control you can just see
in his right hand.

Priceless! An awesome capture of a rare scene. Very nice of you to share it, Abo!

A few from a morning outing yesterday. Spring migration is slowly starting and should improve in the next couple of weeks.

Interesting series, jederick. Wish the shot of the cute owl was closer. Love the resting swans. The avocets steal the show.

I was in San Diego last weekend visiting my brother-in-law and was looking around his yard for something to photograph. I saw this bit of a cobweb with dewdrops on it and thought it looked kind of like a necklace.

Very good observation of the diamond necklace, Mi630! Well captured.

After 30 years of living where I am, This is the first time I've seen an Eastern Bluebird at our feeders. The starling has been here before but it's been years. These were all shot through 2 panes of glass with my Canon SX720 P&S. The squirrel is a regular.

Excellent series of your new visitors, Dennis. I think the quirrel earns his feed for posing so nicely.

I happened to look out of the window and saw the rays of the morning sun coming over the church, I got 3 pictures before they went... I thought they looked very nice with the one bunch of daffodils that were open...

Woody was not very impressed with the kiss Blue gave him....

Very moody capture of St. Day Church. You shot at the perfect moment, nanaval. Love the picture of those cute doggies.
