that is the question. I hope some of you with the "good eye" will tell me which you prefer and why.
Thank you sailorsmom and woodweasel. I appreciate your comments.
Thanks J-Speight and Richard
Thanks Swamp-Cork and Retired CPO.
Thanks to all of you. The mama in the first shot had scolded the cub for climbing too high up in a tree, and then it turned to play. It was great to watch. The bear in the second picture was moving directly towards me though not paying any particular attention to me thank goodness. Even so I was moving backwards while still trying to capture the moment.
Sorry these are not a sharp as I would have liked, but I was either a long ways away, (#1 & #3) or moving backwards while shooting (#2).
Excellent as usual Bob. Thanks for posting. Lloyd
This is my first time in this forum, and I am not disappointed. Truly stunning captures.
Thank you Floyd. I also counted 16.
Thank you all for your nice comments. For UTMike: I actually live in Malad Idaho, just 13 miles north of the Utah /Idaho border.
Here are a few from the Bear River Migratory Bird Refuge. It is less than one hour from where I live, so it is one of my favorite spots. The last one was taken at Farmington Bay on the Great Salt Lake in the middle of winter. The third photo is of a pair of grebes doing a mating dance. It is not as sharp as I would have liked, but it happens so fast and only lasts a few seconds that the camera was still swinging into position when the shutter released.
