Nice shots. There is a lot of hit and miss with this stuff. Just don't lose patience, it will pay off. An easy way to adjust color is to play with the WB. There have been weekends that I've taken 2000 shots, and kept 20!!!

Hi pigpen. Thanks. I have lots of patience and a hole lot of time. Kind of boring during the winter months so I decided to give this a try. Took 500 shots over two days only kept 33.

Very nice! How many tries did that take you?

Well. I took about 500 pics over two days and only kept 33.
Not a great keeper rate. Maybe I will get better over time.

Thanks for the comments. I will take a photo of my setup and attach a step by step that I use. I am still experimenting myself, this is only my second attempt.

Canons tela converters both 1.4X and 2.0X will not work on the 100mm macro lense. Must be a minimum of 135mm for the telly to work.

I also have a 7D and use back button focus.I shoot using Al Servo exclusively. My keeper rate has improved significantly. When using back button focus and Al Servo for stills you only have to touch the back button focus button then release it. When shooting a moving subject you must hold the button down continuously. The only way to tell for focus is what you see in the viewfinder or on the screen. Works great for me since I started using it. Much better keeper rate than using shutter release button.

No particular reason. Just thought a lot of blue sky and water along with the green trees would bring out the contrast.

I agree with dispoon2. If you that much time to spend on this trivial item.get off your duff and go out and shoot.
