Most people who lose things ask in the visitors' center. I assume Arches has one? Let them know you have it.
These are lovely. I rarely make it up for sunrise, but when I do I love it.
These are excellent - they look like they're right out of the bush. I've visited your zoo but didn't get anything this good. The cats were too far away and just sleeping. Would you mind sharing some information? Like what time of day you shot these and with what lens, camera and settings? Thanks!

But it is cleaner if you use 'Quote Reply' so we know what/who you ARE responding to.
As to the 'missing' RAW files. Have you let anyone else take a look at the card(s)? In a different computer? With different software? I'm in Phoenix, and there are others here on UHH that are also in the valley. Possibly one of us could take a look?
Is it even remotely possible that you formatted the card(s) when you only intended to change file format?

Those files are long gone and forgotten. But I'm fixing to go on an extended trip and I sort of wanted to be able to switch from RAW + JPG and just JPG, but didn't want to lose the RAW I had already recorded.
Thanks to all of you!!!!!
If you want to go cheap and easy, try this. When you buy a small salad at a grocery store deli, they put it into a small plastic container. I take the lids from those and stick them in my camera bag. They come in really handy for a spur-of-the-moment fix for all sorts of thing - like the one you mention. I was shooting on the beach and had the same thing happen. My lids did the trick!

I doubt if your Raw images are lost. The OP didn't state if she could not find them on the lcd screen or after downloading to her computer. I hope she has the decency to respond to all the suggestions.
It's hard to reply to every response. Immediately after switching from RAW + JPG to just JPG, I went back to look at each image because I planned to delete some that I knew I had already downloaded. There were no RAW files there. Before the switch I could see the RAW files and the accompanying JPG file for each image. And, when I went to download them, there were no RAW files on the card.
Yes, it does take two cards. Both cards were full, which is what prompted the switch in the first place! And I do not have my camera set to record RAW on one and JPG on the other. It records on the first card until it is full, and then automatically switches to the second card.

Just read your camera manual, it is all there, you can learn a lot by reading the instructions.
I tried the manual and couldn't find anything about this. That's why I posed the question. Also called my local camera store that's a Canon service center. They couldn't answer the question either.
I don't always want raw images, so my normal set is to large jpegs. However, sometimes I do want a raw image. Can I switch in the middle?
I was out shooting one day and was running out of card, so I decided to switch off the raw. I lost all of the Raw images already on the card.
I have a Canon 1D Mark IV and a 16 g lexar class 10 card. I'm going on a trip next month and I'd like this resolved before I go.
Roads to nowhere are really fun to follow when "nowhere" is a nice place to be!
We called them spider lilies where I grew up.
I'm not a bird photographer, but I'll pass on to you what my friend said, and he is a bird photographer. Nice definition in the feathers. Nice choice of background that gave good contrast. His one criticism is that you should always be able to see the head.
This guy stands next to me at the pond and gets beautiful bird pics while I get white blobs. I'm getting better, thanks to his critique of my images. Hope it helps you also.
The blue flower is just lovely!
It's an LG. It was on sale at Best Buy. I finally got it put together and hooked up last night. Haven't had time to do any comparisons with my printer. I don't have a calibration program, so I'm hoping I don't have to do anything complicated! Sure makes using LR a lot easier!!!!!
I just bought a new monitor for my PC on whichI do all my photography work. What a difference! I spent a couple of hours just going back through some of my worked pictures. It's like looking at them for the very first time! WOW!
It's a really nice face - and a nice photograph. Thanks for showing the full image.
