Don't you just love that magic light?
They are mesmerizing. I was recently up along the NW coat and found myelf shooting waves over and over again. Each one is different.
Waiting is so hard! I'm glad you did. It's lovely.
Looks like a beautiful place for a long canter!
I assume they aren't allergic to poison ivy? Seems like all the briars I see are covered with them - except in the NW.
Well done! You and the eagle!
Were you asking for a borderless print? I've found that sometimes even on my own printer I lose a little to the bleed. If I really don't want to lose even 1 pixel, I get a bordered print.
Love the second one. Makes you want to pet!
If you're visiting a new place, allow time to just look and "feel" the place before shooting. Your reactive emotions will show through the images.
This is one of my favorite places on earth. Thanks for the post. Yes, it doesn't get the publicity that the "treasury" does, but it is just as beautiful in its own way. Nice views. I had difficulty getting it without people, as I was there in January.
Lovely shot. The boat is at a really nice angle and the reflection is not overwhelming. The clouds seem to be placed perfectly to point to the boat. Sometimes one waits forever for a shot like this. And sometimes it just happens. Whichever it was, well done!
I've visited the Amazon region you're visiting. Truth be told, other than crocodiles and butterflies, we didn't see a LOT of wildlife. When you're in the jungle, it's very dense and dark, so you'll need lenses that give you the most light. A long, fast lens will help with the butterflies. Good luck with the big blue! If you're lucky, you might find river dolphins, so an underwater case might come in handy for that. I think I used by 35-350 zoom the entire time, and usually at the long end.
Ive done some. I used Shutterfly first, then switched to Blurb. I liked the look of the Blurb book better, and it was a little cheaper. Both have software that's pretty intuitive.
I'm with EstherP. My jpegs are set to "vivid, sharp" and a couple of other tweaks that I found I was always doing anyway. So, if the camera does it in an instant, I don't have to spend hours trying to do it on the computer. Sounds like a good deal to me! I hate doing PP, but I love shooting, so this is a real time saver. Yes, I have different settings for different subjects. All I have to do is remember to set it correctly before starting to shoot. If I switch subject matters on the fly, sometimes it screws up, but usually this doesn't happen.
