Well in answer to your question over time and effort...NOPE never puzzle over it.. I am retired, a Christian, Believe in the Bible and don't mind at all defending it.

See your comment on Covering up brings up the probability that it was not your job or calling to cover up for anything.... IF you did not feel good about preaching, then why didn't you just walk away and count your time there as time well spent (I assume you either were paid a salary or through offerings at a Revival/meeting. Are you as avid in preaching against Christianity/Bible/Christians on the street corners as you are here in the Attic? There are a few here in the attic that are avid anti Christian (They always say that they are not... but...???) who spend more time than I ever do defending, in preaching against Christianity. I have asked each of them time and again.... why? And I always get the same answer... NADA......

I am more than content in believing the Bible, And having Faith in Christ Jesus and disputing the constant "WHY DO YOU CRAM RELIGION DOWN MY THROAT" claims by several here in the attic... I have never done that... ALL of my posts on the subject are in ANSWER to other Posts.... And since I DO believe in the veracity of the Bible, I use it as an answer to what ever the questions are.

Point taken and respected. Being "biblically incorrect" is an admonishment I think I can survive. If it was OK for Copernicus and Galileo, it's OK for me.

Question: Is there ever a time when you personally puzzle over the amount of time and effort you invest in defending this great old collection of stories filled with contradictions, superstitions, inaccuracies, bigotry, misogyny and nonsense?

I was a very vigorous and successful evangelical Baptist minister until the late 1970s when I found I could just no longer in good conscience justify the time and effort it took to cover for something so ludicrous.

One of those things in the Bible which Christians seem to cheerfully ignore. Matthew 6:5-6:

When you pray, you are not to be like the hypocrites; for they love to stand and pray in the synagogues and on the street corners so that they may be seen by men. Truly I say to you, they have their reward in full. But you, when you pray, go into your inner room, close your door and pray to your Father who is in secret, and your Father who sees what is done in secret will reward you.

OK he is saying it is still Ok to pray together but not just to make people think oh look at that good christian. Right!

Everyone and anyone can pray in school. They can do it anytime they choose and need no permission. what can't be done is group organized prayer, which Jesus didn't approve of anyway.

Jesus didn't approve of organized prayer???

Well, despite the naysayers, I thought it was appropriate, considering the mental climate today, and funny, too. If only it weren't true . . . .

Why do people post about stuff they are buying?

Most of us photographers love getting new equipment to expand the joys of photography. I for one love hearing about someone getting a new item as I know how it feels. Every time I save enough for new equipment it is like Christmas all over again.

not so, because you continually abuse people, when if you took your own advise you would ignore them and say nothing.

Ignorance is what drives most folks. Enjoy it, it will last a lifetime or what you have left of it.

Ignorance is just never being around something and never being subjected to something, NOT STUPID like some of us!!

Nobody is really interested in following a "tutorial" from someone who openly admits that he does not know what he is doing.

I suggest that you get some training yourself from someone who does know how to use Photoshop. Learn how to use the product before you inflict your lack of knowledge and experience on others.

Then come back and post what you have learned how to apply successfully, with examples, in the proper forum - Post-Processing.

1. my sony has a af/mf switch on the camera body, and my lens has a af/mf switch as well. only one controls the mf/af of the shot (forget which one). see if you have more than 1 switch that controls af/mf
2. my sony also has infocus light. It can show edges that are infocus (red fringe) and also has a green square that lights up when center is in focus. works for both af and mf

Are you saying that they both don't have to be set the same??
