Why do people post about stuff they are buying?

Most of us photographers love getting new equipment to expand the joys of photography. I for one love hearing about someone getting a new item as I know how it feels. Every time I save enough for new equipment it is like Christmas all over again.

not so, because you continually abuse people, when if you took your own advise you would ignore them and say nothing.

Ignorance is what drives most folks. Enjoy it, it will last a lifetime or what you have left of it.

Ignorance is just never being around something and never being subjected to something, NOT STUPID like some of us!!

Nobody is really interested in following a "tutorial" from someone who openly admits that he does not know what he is doing.

I suggest that you get some training yourself from someone who does know how to use Photoshop. Learn how to use the product before you inflict your lack of knowledge and experience on others.

Then come back and post what you have learned how to apply successfully, with examples, in the proper forum - Post-Processing.

1. my sony has a af/mf switch on the camera body, and my lens has a af/mf switch as well. only one controls the mf/af of the shot (forget which one). see if you have more than 1 switch that controls af/mf
2. my sony also has infocus light. It can show edges that are infocus (red fringe) and also has a green square that lights up when center is in focus. works for both af and mf

Are you saying that they both don't have to be set the same??

Look Rongo folks aint asking the earth are they. You spend an awful long time talking the talk, all they want is for you to prove it by walking the walk ie post an image where you have used this technique which will wow the crowd and keep your critics quiet. Very very simple.

Your reaction should be to post one of your award winning shot to shut people up. You are just like Apolfo - Couldn't take a decent shot if you tried. How sad is that?

Funny how you think it arrogant to have a different opinion. There is nothing arrogant about having an opinion. I simply believe it better to manually focus, rather than having the camera take an out of focus image.

It's arrogant to think you have the only valid opinion!
