Just spent time in Yosemite from 5/19/14 to 5/25/14. I've been going there since 1964 and never tire from the sheer beauty of the place. IMO, the best time of the year in the week or two before Memorial Day as all of the falls are full and the foliage is in full bloom. However, do not make a weekend trip out of it, but plan ahead and do your research on the internet first. Buy some books online that will give you all the places you will want to visit. One on Amazon.com I like is Photographing Yosemite, digital field guide by Lewis Kemper. He gives you the time of day and a list of other helpful hints for when to photograph each place. If you are going to try to stay in the park, you usually have to make reservations a year ahead of time. You can also stay in El Portal, just 8 miles from the entrance.

El Capitan, Half Dome, Bridalveil Falls from Tunnel View Road

I was a Real Estate Broker in the San Francisco Bay Area for 37 Years and made all of my own brochures and shot my own pictures. I used a Canon 20D camera at the time, a Canon 16 x 35 2.8 lens, and a Canon Speedlite 580 EX Flash. I printed the brochures on a LaserJet printer and they turned out very good for the time. I'm going back several years. Since I tried to be cost effective, this worked fine for me because to have it done professionally would have been very expensive. I worked with properties priced in the million dollar range, so the owners were very particular to have a quality product. This was at a time when most Realtors weren't doing much for their Sellers, so at the time I very competitive. I would have to step it up several levels today. The direct answer to your question is the lens as stated above. Out of curiosity, what will you be doing with the images once you have them? Are you a Realtor also or are you going to provide the pictures to someone to create a brochure and use on the internet?

It's very clear that the Democratic Communist Party is alive and well in this country. Don't know where the two Independents came from.

I've been using the Canon Pixma Pro9000 Mark II for the past year and a half and love the quality of pictures. They have a good selection of paper you can use from glossy to semi-glossy. It's prints sizes 4 X 6, 8 x 10, 8 1/2 x 11, and 13 X 19. It's has 8 ink cartridges. This printer is for quality prints only and is not economically feasible for everyday printing.

Call the Canon Service Center at 949-753-4200. They will connect you with an expert for your model camera that will answer any questions you have for the operation of your camera and guide you through solutions to your problems. I have done this several times and they are very patience and helpful in answering your questions.
