So sell the 60d bracket on Ebay and buy the one you need. It's not B&H's issue. It's this kind of thing that makes the prices high.
I love my Gitzo tripod and monopod. I also love my ball head from Really Right Stuff. I questioned whether they were worth the money until I tried them. They are fantastic!
If speed is a factor, Photo mechanic is a must. It's not a photo editor, but for reviewing and tagging your keepers, and many other things, it's fabulous.
If you don't have a large glass collection, plenty of money and are willing to undergo a learning curve, the D4 would be great. If you have invested in DX glass, consider the D7100. If you want user-friendly FX, consider the D610.
I like my D610, but it feels like a toy compared with the pro-like D700
Yes, there is. I shoot sports with a high continuous speed. With the D700, I can get 8 fps with a battery grip. The D800 wouldn't work for me because of the huge file size and the 4 fps maximum.
Depends on what you want to do with the camera. I shoot sports, and the low-light capability of the D700 greatly outshines the D610. For well-lit portraits, I would go with the D610 because of the higher res.
