I was wondering if I am the only person in the US to get bombarded with calls from folks that sound Indian, but say they are IRS agents and I should call them so we can clear up this terrible action they have brought against me. I have at least 10 calls to my cell phone from 10 different areas of the country. I am a retired accountant and realize this is bulls##t. So, if you have had any of these calls, please make me feel better. thanks.

I might add that I have also had calls claiming to be Microsoft or sometimes Dell saying they have received virus alerts from my computer. I played along with one until he wanted me to sign on my computer and let him have access so he could clear up this very dangerous virus. When I told him I was in my car, and I would call him back.

This photo, taken in Alaska in 2006 with a Canon S2 IS was the first photo I ever sold. Framed a 5X7 matted in an 11X14 frame and put it in the Art de Cure charity show about five years ago, and it sold. Not my greatest shot, but it was the best eagle picture I had at that time.

Bud

What did it sell for?

[quote=Carolina Wings]My church asked me if I would take photos for their Soccer Camp...I explained that I only photograph wildlife...they really didn't understand the difference. Lol So please understand that these are just snapshots I'm sharing...wish I could do these adorable little soccer players more justice!

Canon 7D MKII
Canon Lens 70-300mm f/4
ISO 400
Aperture f/8

Yea you need to stay with wildlife photos!! No just kidding, I do sports photos and you did very well. These are excellent photos and I am sure they were real happy with what you did.

I know you guys are hungry for more car pics. So I got a few more for you.

Real nice work mrosenke. I have never done cars before, going to 3 Car Shows this year. Two of them for myself and one I am doing volunteer photography for City of Shawnee Kansas which is one of 6 events I will be doing for them this year. What camera and lens combos did you use? Thanks

I've had this trip planned for over a year and I'm there now (it's day 3). I'll post more exciting shots in a few hours. I've been taking both pics and videos and missed one prime video of arriving in Tel Aviv due to a dead battery...and I just found out why a few moments ago after downloading my files. Apparently after taking some pics in the plane, I accidentally hit the "record" button as I was setting down my camera. now I have 3 consecutive files of 20:26 and one file of 7:04 with nothing but me chatting with my seat neighbors and making other noises/momevents, which I shall not describe! No wonder I didn't have any power left!!!! Tomorrow we go to Caesarea.

They are awesome! Their products are excellent and service is really good. I have used them 4 years now and only had 2 problems, which they corrected and shipped product the very next day. Go online and check them out.

I shoot a lot of sports mostly my 3 sons, which is High School Hockey and Lacrosse, Junior Hockey (U21) and College Hockey. My Most recent shoot was High School Lacrosse. I took 302 shots and ended up with 162 usable images. Defined by, Sharp Crisp Images. I started to wonder what is a typical yeild? I know there are alot of variables but when shooting sports what do the people who shoot sports regularly expect to yield? Second Question, I shoot everything in raw and PP with Lightroom and Photoshop. Again I know there are alot of variables but typically how long would someone expect to take to process all of those images? When I say all, I mean going through all 302 picking the keepers, tagging the keepers with Names or Jersey Numbers then cropping and adjusting and cleaning up the image.
Thanks

I shoot baseball, football, and may do some soccer next year. Just finished high school baseball season last week but grandsons 4th grade season goes for another month. When I first started I could shoot 1000-1500 shots. And would take forever to process. As time has gone by I have learned to first go through and get rid of all duplicate, bad focus, and some bad comp. This year especially I got rid of a ton of players at bat because there are so many that are almost the exact same photo. After a few games into the season you already have those shots. What I do is try and just shoot when I think batter is going to swing (always want to try and get that home run swing if possible). I still can shoot 500-700, but not very often usually 400-500. will get those down to 200-300. Don't want my clients to have to look through to many photos when choosing which ones they want to purchase. Sports photography is really hard, most people don't realize how hard (some one will walkl in between you and players a lot). Have never tagged but will start, would really help when looking for just that one player. Sounds like you are doing well and I know shooting as many games as you do you have lots of your time taken up. Enjoy though, I love what I do with the sports. Thanks

Welcome to the HOG! There are lots of knowledgeable people on here, and very helpful. Someone knows something about everything or will know where to go to find out. One other thing, there are a few on here that will be a smart ass about some things. Please don't let this bother you as 99.9% of the People on here are really nice and just love photography as we do.

Have fun.
