Say what you will, think what you may but National Healthcare will come and most of us won't like it. Most thought Obamacare was going to be the greatest thing since sliced bread. Most people today that had private insurance in particular are not thrilled with it today. I know numerous first hand examples of things that happen all to frequently in the British system. After Obamacare why does anybody think us having National Health Care will be any better?

US vs UK wait times

In 2013, the healthcare foundation The Commonwealth Fund examined waiting times across 11 countries, including the US. It reported that in the US a quarter of adults surveyed (26%) said they waited six or more days for primary care appointments “when sick or needing care”. The figure for the UK was just 16%. The US also underperformed on same-day or next-day appointments compared with the NHS – 48% access versus 52%. According to Robin Osborn, a researcher at the foundation, longer-term comparative trend data over a decade (2003-2013) shows “dramatic” improvements in the NHS on waiting times, including for specialists.

It is sensible to apply some caution when comparing markedly different health systems. For example in the US if you have an expensive, top-tier insurance policy (and many people do) you are likely to have a lot shorter wait than people with cheaper policies, or indeed those in other countries. However I have what would be regarded as a pretty good policy in terms of US private health insurance, and my own experiences on waiting times are markedly worse than under the NHS. So, assumptions that private systems automatically t***slate to greater efficiency and shorter waiting times for the majority are simply unconvincing and need to be assiduously challenged.

True National Health Care Story

For all of you folks that want government run National Health Care here is an example of a friend in Northern Ireland (the British Healthcare System).

A true story about a friend of ours, a young man about 40 years old who started passing blood and large clots in his urine. It took him about a week before getting in to see a doctor. The doctor naturally says they need to do some tests. A Catscan and a Cystoscopy to determine the problem. It took about a week and a half before he got an appointment to have the Catscan done. He was under the impression that Cystoscopy would be done the same day but not so. They told him the results of the Catscan wouldn’t be back for 10 to 14 days. I’m no doctor but a Catscan can be read immediately as soon as a radiologist sees it. They have him scheduled for a Cystoscopy at a different facility but he is not able to get an appointment until June 23rd.

This could be nothing more than a bad bladder infection but on the other hand it could be something very serious. If you think waiting that long is acceptable you won’t mind National Health Care. If on the other hand when your passing blood and large clots you think that long a wait is not acceptable get ready. Obamacare is just the first step to National Health Care in this country.

Think about that when you get ready to v**e in November.

In 64-65 when I was there we called these eagle flights. But, only used two ships. We had one ship a slick with all the lights on and flying at about 300 or so feet above ground and a gun ship above and behind the slick with no lights on. The idea was for the slick to draw fire and then the gun ship would just dive towards where the fire came from returning fire with it's M-60's and rockets. I guess that's why they liked young pilots like me over there. Invincible and didn't think about what they were asking us to do, we just did it. Today if they asked me to do that my comment would certainly be, "you got to be f _ _ king kidding me"? We never lost a ship or crew member that way but when I think about it we were probably very lucky.

No one who has been there ever forgets the sound. I've spent a lot of time in Hueys (UH-1s), and we were just getting the Cobras. Amazing how the pilots flew them - not like the smooth vertical take-offs we see now. The nose was tilted about 30 degrees down for take off (or seemed so) and the reverse on landing, nose up - they were some serious pilots. When I was there, they used to fly at night in a group of 3 at different altitudes. One had an arc light, one (without lights) spotted, and one would shoot - the tracers looked like a phaser out of Star Trek except it would arc as the bird moved. On my last night out of VietNam, in a commercial jet, very quiet, cruising out over the jungle, we looked down at the jungle and watched the Hueys firing below us, and it seemed so far away...

Ok, I stand corrected I found a few articles on the internet and just assumed since there was more than a couple they must be true. That along with my belief that Obama would have done something like this.

First of all did you even bother to read his speech? He never came anywhere near an apology. What he said was "We may not be able to eliminate man’s capacity to do evil, so nations and the alliances that we form must possess the means to defend ourselves." That is the only time he used the word evil. Just to be clear, I don't like Obama, I didn't v**e for Obama, I can't wait for Obama to be out of office, although the next clown will probably be worse. What I will not do is take some websites editorial and pass it off as fact. Obama has done enough dumb crap that we don't have to make crap up.

Obama just doesn't get it and could care less

Obama in his speech (see URL below) to the Japanese said what I would say is about as close to an apology for dropping the atomic bomb on Hiroshima and Nagasaki as our village i***t in charge thought he could get away with without verbalizing an outright apology. Did he actually ever study history in school? Did nobody ever tell him it was the Japanese that started war with us when they bombed Pearl Harbor and k**led Americans? Does he not understand that the atomic bomb probably saved thousands of lives of both Americans and Japanese by ending the war. Has he considered were it not for the atomic bomb ending the war it could have continued for years and it might have been the Japanese or Germans who possibly prevailed and won the war? In that case he very possibly could be speaking German or Japanese today instead of English? It seems to me every chance Obama gets he tries to belittle and run down America. “Evil” my ass. We owe nobody an apology for dropping the atomic bomb and the sooner Obama is gone, the better for America!

Yes and you can view the video showing all that sniper fire she was under when she got off the plane.

Again, you completely missed my point, which was that you have to search back years ago to find some insignificant lie that Hillary may or may not have told about some sniper fire, and yet Trump, the serial liar, lies whenever his mouth is open. He tells more lies in a day the Hillary tells in a year. And yet you could care less about Trump's dishonesty. There is a strange incongruency here with your double standard.

You see Hillary's lie about being under sniper fire as something insignificant. Having been a helicopter pilot in Vietnam and having been shot at numerous times I look at that very differently than you probably do. Anytime someone would tell a lie about being under enemy fire to bolster their self image I find that extremely offensive and despicable.

That being said have a good evening.

I wish I could explain why she has never been charged but maybe Congress is just waiting for the right time. Knowing that Obama would probably pardon anything she is convicted of anyway. If she is so squeaky clean how is it that according to the poles the biggest percentage of Americans don't trust her even though some of those fools might actually v**e for her? You sort of changed the subject on B******i. We were talking about her lies. I didn't say anything about her being right or wrong with what happened I just mentioned that she and Obama lied to the American public about the cause of what happened then when caught in the lie they changed their story. You go on supporting the queen of lies and after she is defeated in the 2016 e******ns maybe she and Slick Willie will just fade into the sunset and not be heard of again. And my comment about sit on the curb was not a threat but a little white lie about me showing up to listen to you.
Keenan wrote:

"And how about the fact that she lied to Congress during a testimony when she was under oath?"

Oh really? And which lie was that? You do realize that lying under oath is a crime. It's called perjury. If Congress (Republican controlled) wanted to, they could charge her for perjury. The fact that they haven't even tried completely shreds your claim...

"That's suppose to be a felony so explain why she has never been charged?"

Right. Which proves that you are a nutjob. In case you forgot, YOUR TEAM CONTROLS CONGRESS. HELLO! The fact that they aren't trying to charge her for that when it would be so easy proves that you are full of it.

"And her lies about coming under sniper fire?" Ohhhh, whoopteedoo!!! That's the best you could come up with? Some possible inconsistency about whether she ducked in sniper fire years ago? You have to search back YEARS for a possible inconsistency, whereas ON THE OTHER HAND, YOUR HERO TRUMP LIES ON A DAILY BASIS, EVERY TIME HE OPENS HIS MOUTH?

Thanks for proving my point that you have a double standard and could give a s**t about how COMPLETELY DISHONEST your hero Trump, the serial liar, is.
