Damn it! Now I'm going to have to call the way back to Brooklyn to get my own picture of the underbelly.
Thank you for sharing these! The underbelly of the Brooklyn Bridge was awesome—never seen that before. Your captures of the Manhattan Bridge are lovely—some nice light.
But I really loved Sunset over New York. The Empire shot was the finest I’ve ever seen. And The Statued of Liberty--! Truly the best captures of the Lady. Excellent silohuette.
Next time your in New York, try that little park in Williamsburg.
Why don’t you chuck them up there. It would be appropriate to go along with my string.
Thanks for the nice words and encouragement. I want to go to New England on a Lighthouse photo-vacation.
That was only 2 years-- but two weeks in each town
I figured it was some kind of museum. Why CT got possibly the most iconic of props is lacking to me.
That bit of fog was highly cooperative. What a great photo. One of the art shops on Royal Street in the Quarter would probably buy if from you.
Make sure your Stanley sees your flattering message.
#1 Where was the Streetcar photographed?
#2 Why wasn't Stanley posed scratching his armpit?
This would make a lovely large wall photo in the living room (with the right color scheme)
Lovely-- You have inspired me to take a New England lighthouse vacation
Great story, great pictures. Once, I walked over to my girlfriend's. house for a 4:00 am. booty-call and a bull moose stood in front of her porch browsing on willow. He just stood there and defied me. Damn moose.
I know the Golden Gate Bridge is the sweetheart of the world'ÃÃs immagination, but to me the Brooklyn Bridge is the grand dame of all bridges and has far more many moods
1. from Russian Hill
2. from Lands End Lookout Park
3. Brooklyn Bridge from Brooklyn Bridge Park
4. Brooklyn Bridge
5. Brooklyn Bridge
6. from North 5th St. Park, Williamsburg
7. from the Monongahelia Incline, Pittsburgh
8. from the 95th St. Bridge, Chicago (Blues Brothers bridge)
9. from Queens, New York
10. Manhattan Bridge from Downtown Brooklyn
Yeah, that's bit better (damn sun). I used to live in Alaska and would never approach a moose, but I believe I would have been tempted here.
Maybe you can email an attachment to the "Anchorage Daily News."
Photo 6 is the sweetest with the two calves nuzzling. If you could darken the cornfield a bit, as this photo almost appears washed out.
I saw a photo of this, and it sounds like a variation of the sun pillar. You might have to wait until you're 65 like me to see one. But until then, grab some friends and brews and wait it out.
I'm really not familiar with the "green flash" on the Keys. Is that a light phenomenon?
Thanks-- I was very lucky
