Hello Hoggers. I have been doing Event and Party photography for about 6 month where I produce a CD on the spot for clients. I would like to make quality 4x6 prints on the spot. Any recommendations on a printer to buy that would be a good workhorse and reliable. I probably would get 2 so $$ is an issue. Any help is appreciated.

Thanks guys for all your wisdom. I will stay with Nikon lenses. And yes, my homeowners insurance covered my gear less a $500 deductible so i'm good for now.

Thanks Mas24. I checked this deal out last week and thought it looked real good. Probably go with it as I was going to get a 35mm anyway. Trying to rebuild my gear after all of it was stolen!! A new Nikon D7100, 50mm, 18-55mm, 70-300mm camera backpack and a bunch of accessories too. What a shame especially since the 7100 was a 70th birthday gift from my wife. So I am relegated to a D3200 for now.

Hey Hoggers. I've been researching a lens for portraits and come upon a Samyang 85mm f/1.4 Aspherial lens new for $269. Anyone with experience using this lens? Is it any good? The price seems to be really cheap compared to any others I've found. Plan to use it mainly for portraits. Any advice would be greatly appreciated, thanks.

Hey Hoggers, I plan to do a lot of portrait work and I need advice on which lens to go with. I have done a lot of research back and forth and the only advice I am pretty sure I can trust is you guys. My 7200 and rest of my gear was stolen so I'll use a 3200 for awhile and then plan to maybe go full frame. My question is what is the best to use 50mm or 85mm? I will be using studio lighting most of the time as well as outdoor portraits. Thanks for your advice.

I never take my card out of the camera. Why not just transfer straight from the camera, format the card and your good to go. Saves time is faster and you will forget you took it out one day and be somewhere trying to take a picture with your card at home. Just saying.

Hey guys I picked up a Nikon 75-300mm real cheap and it takes great pics.It will only fire at the largest aperture f32. camera says "lock aperture ring at minimum aperture f/number". Anyone have experience with this lens? Any input would be appreciated. I am shooting with a D3200. Thanks

Cool thanks for info. Would you consider the 300 sharper than 70-300 at the longer end?
