Thanks, had viewed the video and the guy's work is amazing. I suppose, for scenes that only need a minor increase in dynamic range, in-camera might be useful (particularly the Sony system which can do 6EV), but for serious work, Photomatix seems to be the way to go.
What was the learning curve like for this app.?
Thanks,
Bill
Really like #3's painterly effect.
Thanks, useful information.
Interesting video and your take on this subject is intriguing. Hopefully the next generation of bodies will include this feature.
Thanks.
Thanks. Is this an effective way to significantly increase HDR in your opinion?
Thanks,
bill
That's useful information. Which HDR app. do you prefer and how steep is the learning curve?
Thanks,
Bill
Very useful information and I'm happy to hear you really like the lens as I have some older Contax/Zeiss lenses I would also like to use on the camera with an adapter. It looks like the HDR added about two stops.
Thanks again.
How does in-camera HDR compare to using third party software for combining images? I am looking at buying a Sony a67 and wonder how many images (how many EVs) can be combined for HDR.
You seem to be a Sony expert and I am thinking of buying the a67 with the Zeiss 16-80. Is this a good choice for a high quality walk-around lens? Also, do you find the HDR feature effective and how many stops is it capable of processing.
Thank you,
Bill
Can you tell me where to find "Snapshot". Tried Googling it and that didn't work and I am interested in the Sony results.
Thanks,
Bill
Your comment and the others convinced me to NEVER deal with this company. Thanks.
I wonder why in the internet age, why companies like these can continue in business.
Thanks,
Bill
Thanks, will buy elsewhere.
Bill
Thanks, will buy from a more reputable supplier.
