Tinusbum, That is a nice shot of the jumping spider( Salticidae), I believe. Great pets for photo study.

It can be very hard to tell a wasp,bee,ant,moth,etc.from the true thing. Might be Batesian mimicry????? SO,a test,if you are up for it. One moth, one wasp,one bee, the rest are flies( very,artistic mimics). Enjoy,I hope. Or should I say please?

Not to be picky,but it looks more like a wasp. And the association is not uncommon. Another example to look for is on daddy long legs. The mites hide identification marks on the insect. Very nice shot,these things rarely sit long. Early A M seems to be the best time. OH ,almost forgot. The association is called phoresy. Bill

I told my blonde lady friend that she was at high risk for skin problems from over use of her tanning bed. Her MD seconded my opinion. Next time I saw her, she had had her hair dyed brunette.
